-ON Casein Protein-

I'm looking for a high quality but economical slow digesting protein. Has anyone tried ON's Casein? If so, does it taste the same as their whey...better??? Worse???

i've tried it, and it tasted disgusting! ( i tried vanilla). the results were hard to argue with though. i was willing to chug it down.

I use Optimum's 100% Casein. It tastes pretty good actually. The choclate is better than the vanilla....... I actually saw some strength increases from taking this throughout the day as opposed to whey......

Mix 2 scoops of Chocolate Matrix 5.0 with 1 tbsp of Udo's choice and 10 oz of milk, blend, and you have a high quality but economical slow digesting protein that tastes incredible.

Xtreme Formulations Ultra Peptide seems to be extremely popular on these boards, so give it a shot. You can also try Evopro by Cytosport. I've been using it for the past few years - I love the taste of the stuff! I've had chocolate and cookies n cream - both are really good, but I stick to chocolate 95% of the time. I've heard the apple and vanilla flavors are also amazing.

It tastes bad.

Go with Xtreme Formulations Ultra Peptide, hands down the best before bed casein protein.

I've only used Vanilla, and found it to be a bit chalky. It's nearly a straight MPI and that is characteristic.

it mixes very well.
the vanilla has a mellow, almost pudding-like flavor to it.
if you ever ordered from protein customizer back in the day, it tastes pretty close to the pre-mixed night time formula.

it mixes fine. it's not thin like most whey shakes, but all you can taste is the vanilla flavoring. i did a review if you're interested.

It's not bad...I use about 14 oz of milk and it mixes pretty well. It doesn't exactly taste good, but it isn't terrible either.

if it's thick, add more liquid. i use 10oz of skim and it's fine for me.

XF UP choclate tastes great, and mixes well. It's a bit thick, but nothing that makes it taste bad.

I have the ON Casein and to me it tastes pretty good. I have the vanilla flavor. Gotta shake it pretty good or you will clumps.

I have tried it and LOVE it, you need to mix it with a blender and some ice though. The taste is terrific!!! Especially choco!

the best casein protein and cheapest is 90+ best b4 bed and when you wake up
its time released and i find it very good

casien protein coagulates very quickly, thats why it gets really thick when you mix it. the trick to keep it thin enough to chug down is to use lots of extremely cold water and use a shaker not a blender. only shake it just enough to mix it. the more you shake it the quicker it coagulates. if you use a blender you're going to end up with something that resembles pudding. drink it as quick as you can. the longer you wait the thicker it gets. that is casein's nature. that's why it absorbes slowly because it coagulates.
