an old car, and clean slate. Probably Humboldt. Yeah, for the reason you're thinking, mostly. And to experience that crazy ass culture. It sounds cool as hell.
I'm a college grad that might be working with 16 year olds slinging fries, if that. I hear the economy is god awful in nor cal right now. I might wind up homeless, but I'll be sure to call my parents every week and lie my ass off about how great things are going even if I fail before I ever call and admit I blew it. (:
Wish me luck.

Oh my...
Psychology. Work experience=won some money playing cards, menial jobs. Fast food, cook, labor. Terrible resume, basically. I tried to survey some stuff on craigslist and monster but it seems really grim in that part of the country. Even worse in your part of town when one considers the cost of living. Ultimately I'd love to do the Berkeley thing, but I'd be broke in like 3 weeks. I'm actually OK with doing the McJob thing for 8 an hour or whatever for a bit if I have to. And by OK I mean it would be awful, but I don't see an alternative, and location is crutial to me. I can't stand the midwest any longer.
That's what I was thinking(no homo)

I know what I'm talking about. First, I stated I would need a job right away. I know that. Second, it is a crazy ass culture of backwards hippies. You dispute this?
I didn't articulate my plan well enough. I'm not trying to become a commercial grower selling to the clubs or whatever. Just a garden variety for myself while I pursue a "real job" full time for a living. I have no desire to become commercial(that's a lie. I just recognize that rolling up to Humboldt to sling is like opening a burger shop between McDonalds and Wendy's)
I think I can make friends, hopefully. I'm all about the slow pace of humboldt, plus I couldn't afford the bay area.
