amplify protein smoothie from GNC

just left gnc with 4ilbs of amplify smoothie protein for 60 bucks. is it good for cutting. did I get a deal? or is this stuff garbage. I'm new to the protein game.

i can tell you that you probably got ripped off. 4lbs of protein for $60 is pretty steep. post the ingredients. i can't find it online.

Can't tell you much about the ingredient profile. I bought it a long time ago. I can say that it does taste pretty good, and I can say that you did get ripped off. It is no better than any other brand of protein that you can buy for half the price. And as far as taste goes, I'm not sure that it is any better than the Higher Power brand you can buy here. I think you can get 5lbs. of Higher power for somewhere around $23. Then there is always ON which is probably the most recommended protein on these boards. You can get 5lbs of it here for around $28 (don't quote me, that's close).

On a side note, I don't remember if amplify is an isolate or concentrate, but I think that it is a concentrate. You can get around 6lbs. of a good isolate for the price you paid. Isolate is generally more expensive than concentrate.

I would return that ASAP. You can find cheap protein at any wholesale club or even walmart. No need to pay outragous prices for protein.

I bought this stuff because my room mate had Diabietes (spelling wrong) but no change when I was doing P90X compared to regular protien I used the time before on p90x
