I was born in MI, moved out to CA, been out there for 5 yrs, both my parents just passed away(recently), just sold their house and closed some of their funds, creditors, etc. But still working on other property they owned, so I have to stay out here for a while to settle everything. (it's a bitch!... they didn't even have a will or anything, and I found out they were in debt w/ the house, and enormous credit card debt!). Anyhoo... I'm staying at my aunt's house in MI in the meantime, but yes, I still have my place in CA.
So to release my stress... all I have is working out at the local gym.

Research!
Hi there,
I live in Sterling Heights, MI and I am a national figure competitor...I train with Mike Davies in Ohio...we work together over the internet plus I drive down to see him.
For you, just starting out, research online. There is a lot of info out there plus there are some shows coming up you can watch. The Motor City pro is this weekend! I will be there, working the Fitness Factory booth...
But research like crazy and then if you are interested, I HIGHLY recommend getting a qualified, experienced person to do your diet at the very least. That is the bigest factor in getting results....and if you are gonna train that hard and sacrifice, you might as well get the most out of it. Get someone who has trained girls who have the look you want...research them and then go for it!!! It will be an experience you won't regret

GIJane, I was born and raised in Royal Oak. I went to Kimball (class of 1990). I'm sorry to hear about your parents.
www.naturalbodybuilding.com, there is a contest October 21st in Highland, Mi. I hope that helps.
