Hey, I'm going to my gym's tanning salon in an hour, what else should I be wearing besides tanning goggles and something covering my dick?

1. Goggles are optional. I do not wear them because they leave circles around my eyes. I just make sure to keep my eyes shut the entire time.

2. Why cover your dick?? mine never burns. my ass does sometime. Nothing is worse then having a tan body and a pale dick. LOL.

3. most important thing is lotion.... you hardly will tan without it and it helps you not to burn... don't use a tingle though, just a basic accelerator or bronzer.

No. That is a sunless tanner. Which means you apply it and it gives you an immediate ****ty fake looking tan which leaves you with streaks and orange pigment. Definatly not a good lotion to use in the beds or period.

You can get some cheap bottles of good tanning lotion off ebay. That is where I get mine.

oh man do you know how dangerous and bad for your eyes that is? they are not kiddin about this one
to the op, wear goggles, you can get small ones which are designed for tanning and they wont leave you circles around your eyes

also make sure you exfoliate your body beforehand

and use a good after tan moisturizer.

I have been tanning for 4-5 years with no goggles and always get my eyes checked they are fine.

correction: cover your trouser snake up. I did not and my beef bayonet got pretty red. I got pretty worried but it went away after a few days.

I agree, don't ever tan without wearing those little goggles they give you. That's just flat out stupid to not do so.

You can tan completely naked, bro. You don't have to cover up your penis. All anyone has to do is use a little common sense and it'll be just fine, i.e. don't jump in the tanning bed completely naked and tan for 20 minutes if you've never had your penis exposed to the sun or a tanning bed before.

Work your way up and don't start out too high.

When I went in the winter, I used these tiny goggles. Sometimes I forgot them, but it didn't seem like a big deal, I jsut kept my eyes closed. If I were you, I'd wear them though. My dick never got burnt... it tanned like the rest of my body, but I have olive skin. If you're a ginger kid, you might want to cover it up... but it'd look pretty stupid being tanned everywhere but your schlong. I used some kind of tanning oil that you apply beforehand with good result; I never used an after lotion; but again, I tan very easily.

They probably sell tanning accelerator right near the beds.

Tan naked, there's no reason not to.

I think it'll do, should I apply it at home or before I get in the tanning bed @ the gym bathroom?

No, dude. That is an OIL based tanning lotion and is for OUTDOOR use only. most tanning salons won't even let you use that in there beds because it damages the UV rays and there balbs. you need a INDOOR lotion, not an oil based outdoor one. take it back. walgreens doesn't really have any good indoor based lotions. Get one from the salon.

Ahaha saved again, thanks bro. One last question, should I put something in my hair so it doesn't get damaged? Like sun block or something, I have really long hair.

this guy is right ^^^ u need to wear googles.. i wear them and i dont get circles on my eyes... u cant just not wear them and close ur eyes, the bulbs are so bright it will still mess ur eyes up even if u close them.. and yea put somethin over ur dick, u defantly dont want that to burn, lol u wont beable to **** a girl for 4, 5 days if it burns.. that would defantly suck...and get some indoor tanning lotion

I usually take a shower before, tan for like 20 min.

I dont use lotion, it depends on the persons skin, some people tan easier then others.

Dont take a shower after, let the tan soak into your skin. You might smell like crap, but itll help build a better base.

I got a question about the tanning accelorators..
Yeh they are different strengths, some will make you darker etc., but those top of the line ones which make you darker, are they more harsh on your skin also? Is that how it works? Or do the weak/strong ones both have the same harshness on your skin?

wear the goggles. your eyelids are too thin to block UV rays, which then go straight into your eyes. chances are you wont do immediate damage, but UV damage accumulates over the years, and the eyes are especially susceptible to damage. so unless you want mad cataracts when youre 40, wear the little goggles.

"Studies show that too much exposure to ultraviolet rays, including UVA rays, can damage the retina. Overexposure can burn the cornea, and repeated exposure over many years can change the structure of the lens so that it begins to cloud, forming a cataract. Left untreated, cataracts can cause blindness.

The Food and Drug Administration requires tanning salons to direct all customers to wear protective eye goggles. Closing your eyes, wearing ordinary sunglasses, and using cotton wads do not protect the cornea from the intensity of UV radiation in tanning devices.

Long-term exposure to natural sunlight also can result in eye damage, but in the sun, people generally are more aware that their eyelids are burning. Under indoor UV lights, exposed skin remains cool to the touch.
