bought 260 LB York training bumper plates yesterday (July 2nd). One of the 45 lb plates cut my hand. I looked closed it has a needle like thing on the edge. It is really sharp. Attached are the photos. I will keep the plate as evidence.
Good Job York!!

If you have a problem with a company's products, take it up with them. I'm honestly not interested in your problem if you haven't given the manufacturer an opportunity to fix it.

so much this. you seem like the type or person who will spend a lot of time setting up new accounts and hitting up every seller of this product to leave a negative review, but i wonder if you'll actually talk to York.
probably won't even return to this site to read what people say.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

Yep. Just contact them or possibly the vendor you bought them from. I'm sure they'll give you some consideration.
It seems to be an isolated incident. If they don't resolve your issue, then just grab the thing with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull it out. I cant tell from the picture,
but maybe it's a broken staple from the cardboard box it was shipped in.Clive, you're a good guy. - AttyGuy

Does he write for the NY Post? Don't give him an AR-15. . . .
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Whether he pulls the scratchy piece out of the plate or not is really a moot point, as he's highly unlikely to actually use the damn things anyway. If a little scratch is enough to keep him from using his new plates, he's not the type to stick with a program and would just wind up listing them on CL in a few months. His pitiful little mini-rants are about as much effort as anyone can expect from him."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
