Starting 2nd shift, when to work out

Ok, im proabably going to be starting 2nd shift and my new job. I have worked out at 5:30 PM for the last few years. I have a good routine, but now i have to change. I will be working from 3:30 pm to like 2am. Should i lift around noon, I was thinking mabey noon wouldnt be good because i have no time to rest after working out i will have to go to work. Im used to working out and then going to sleep a few hours after. But now i have to work out then go to my physicallly demanding job for 8-10 hours. Will i be able to recover the same.. Thanks for your time

well, if you have been successful working out after work, then work out after work. if before, you got off at 5, then went straight to the gym, then now, you can get off at 2am, and go straight to the gym.

just because your schedule changed doesn't make it different, it just flip-flops your day.

It seems to me that your body is already used to training after work, because you said you usually did it at 5:30pm. Can you lift after work at maybe 3am? You'd need a home gym or a 24 hour gym for that to work however.

I've worked 12:30-10 for quite a while and I go to the gym about an hour after I wake up(as long as it takes me to eat, feed the kids and get them dressed/out the door with me) at about 8:30. I go home, sit down for an hour, then start getting ready for work. I've always gone as soon as I wake up, and(for me) it's the only way to do it... I have much more energy throughout the day.
