brewers yeast: good for bulking? infections? how much protein?
I started taking tabs of brewers yeast (1tab = 400mg), im taking 6 a day. I have three doubts:
1) I was said (and read in this forum) that it is good for bulking. In fact, i started taking it about 3 weeks ago, and since then i have increased my weight in 4.6lb, and my bodyfat just increased 0.1%.
What does it do to gain mass? Is it the B vitamins? how do they help my body to gain mass?
2)I also read that taking it in pills rather than in powder is insignificant for wheightlifters. Then why did i raise my weight so much if i taked tabs??
3)Are this nutrition facts ok?:
1Tablespoon (16.45g):
8g protein
0.1g fat
2.5g carbs
35 calories
16 aminoacids
b vitamins
minerals
etc
4)Is it true that taking too much will give me yeast infection?? i looked in some pages but it said it ocurrs on people who take too much antibiotics, or who have lower defences (like people with HIV)
Are there any other risks if i take it in high amounts (many tablespoons, i dont know, because of the protein, so i add it to my meal plan)
5)If it contains aminoacids, is it ok to add it to my post workout shake?
thanks for your answers

Never heard of that but yeasts metabolize sugars. The yeast overgrowth you get in your intestines is candida yeast and can cause a lot of problems. But brewer's yeast is not the same thing, so I don't know how it'd affect you in that way.
search for BIO-STRATH
The key to the Bio-Strath formula is the "good food yeast" known as Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells are very similar to our own cells. The nutritive value of yeast places it high on the super foods list because it provides us with a complete spectrum of macro and micro nutrients. Saccharomyces cerevisiae is one of the richest sources of the B-complex vitamins, along with 30 other vitamins and minerals. It is a rich source of protein, amino acids, nucleic acids and enzymes.
