What bodytype am I? I'm 5'6 and weigh in at 155 pounds. I have been working out randomly but consistantly for over a year now. My eating has been random as well but I try to eat meats and other things that I think will give me protien. Sometimes I eat junkfood as well. I don't have very large bones so could I be an ectomorph? My bone structure is berly medium for my height according to this wrist sizing test I took. When I wrap my middle finger and my thumb around my wrist they cant touch on both wrists if that means anything. Anyways here are some pictures. Please help me identify my bodytype so I know how to train for it.

I just did lol I ate some meatloaf with a few small slices of potatos. I had it sitting in the fridge from last night since my mom came home with chineese food. Ill be hungry in a few hours or so again. I'm not sure when to work out again so I don't overtrain. Yesterday I did about 4 sets of 10 BB shrugs with 210 pounds. Funny because my neck doesnt look too big and 210 doesnt feel like much on my neck. Necks must be a strong bodypart.

body type
You are the biggest ecto I have ever seen in my life dude.
Forget that label. You are definitely an awesome mesomorph.
Small bones? I would forget that, too. Looks like average to large bones.
Frame size is about average.
The teen section is full of 5-6 dudes that aren't any heavier than 140 lbs.
You are making good progress and have pretty awesome genetics. Good luck.BEST SITES FOR

Wow thanks. Too bad I couldnt be taller atleast like 5'10 but my dad said he didnt shoot up untill he was my age and he is 6'1 due to back surgery and he was origionally 6'2. My brother is 6'2 but looks more ecto. My dad is probably ecto/meso he weighs about 190 something at 6'1 but doesnt look skinny. When he was younger he did though but that was before I eve even born. My mom is about 5'1 and around 90 something pounds but she has somewhat of a natural cut. Her forearms have fibrants in them that you can see and has visable triceps/biceps. I also noticed she has developed calves that are visable as well. I can see her delts when she moves her arm to pick things up in the kitchen. Maybe she is slightly mesomorphic for a female?

What a lot of people don't realize is that there are very few pure ectomorphs, endomorphs or mespomorphs. Most average people posess traits from all of them or at least two.
The rating scale goes from 1-7.
A pure endo would be 711.
A pure ecto would be 117.
And a pure meso would be 171.
Average people could be 333 or 444.
And most people would be more like 136 or 742.
A better way to tell is how your body composition was BEFORE you started training. Really with experience, you'll find it doesn't matter all that much. (If you're not growing you need more calories. Doesn't really matter if you're an ecto or not.)
Looks like you've made some good gains, so just keep up the good work!www.ScrillaBeats.com

I'm a pure ecto. My chest sinks in a bit, my wrists are pathetically small, and my ankles are dinky. I don't look like it now though. MY rib cage is kinda small.. www.myspace.com/c0gnitions for some pics.
My mom has a messed up bone structure.. so I got a bit of that.
I'm completely porportional though.Last edited by maconstate; 07-18-2006 at 01:00 PM.

Someone link it in here, it's hosted on xs.to, so just copy the url when you click to maximize the pic... PLEASE
There's also a good "BEFORE" shot in my pics. You don't have to have myspace to view profiles. Again, it's www.myspace.com/c0gnitionsLast edited by maconstate; 07-18-2006 at 01:11 PM.

I will look them up on your blog. You can go to photobucket or imageshack to host free pictures. I think when I first started I was in the 120s not sure how my eating habbits were because it was a tough time. But I dont think it was too hard for me to gain my bench went up just fine I'm in the 245-250s max but that was a month or so ago so I could be higher.

Definately not.
From reading about how you eat, looking at your pics, and how you "randomly" exercise, you've got amazing genetics.. who cares what body type you are - but you're definately not an ecto.
Who knows what you'd look like if you ate 6-7 500 cal meals a day lifting 4x a week.Current / Starting:

I dont have a routine is what I ment by random. and I train on random days as well I just go by the feel of it. Sometimes random weight and random reps. I usually stick to 6 reps with deadlifts and do about 3 sets or 4 depending. When I bench I do reps with 209 on a older bench which causes me to use a closer grip than I would use on an olypic bar. I curl about 36 pounds on one arm but not every other day for sure. My biceps need some work but I got to were I curl 115 on the olypic bar I have.

I need someone to hook me up with a good routine to try out so I can be organized to see how well I gain. It might make me go up in weight faster. I don't have any planned meals I eat what I can find in the house. I recently stopped eating the potato chips and I'm trying to not drink the coke my dad buys. So today I have been getting alot of water from the sink.

You really honestly can't tell your full genetic potential until you have built some quality mass on your frame, and you need to be lean to boot. If you saw me at 12 years old you may have said I was an endomorph, but not I'm almost 19 and I'm very lean and I have a very small bone structure. Look at early pictures of Flex Wheeler. When he did his first competitions as a teen you wouldn't think he had the greatest genetics. Fast forward a few years and he's one of the greatest to ever grace a pro bodybuilding stage. All you guys on here who worry about bodytypes need to get a grip. Build some mass, then worry about genetics.
A king may move a man, a father may claim a son. But remember that, even when those who move you be kings or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God you cannot say "but I was told by others to do thus" or that "virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.
