registered dietician recommendations (online?)
after recovering some weight (anorexia bla bla) i am having a lot of trouble figuring out what to do with my intake. i know how to eat clean of course, and i do, but none of the "calculators" or "norms" are right for me. i think my metabolism is pretty screwed up and i am looking for any recommendations of registered dieticians that any of you have worked with. my number one goal is to restore my metabolism as much as possible.
i have searched high and low on the net and i am confused and un-trusting and don't want to just jump into working with someone. i would appreciate any recommendations!
thanks ladies! clare

Have you considered contacting Emma-Leigh? While she isn't a registered dietitician, she has studied nutrition and works with quite a lot of people who are recovering from EDs. She's done my recent diet plan for me and I can't speak highly enough. Just an option for you...

She is very supportive and she knows what she's doing! She does nutrition and workouts or whatever you need! She's very flexible and works with you and your goals. You'll love her!

Well, i am thinking that she probably doesnt want everyone asking her for help...i am in school studying to become a dietician but i wanted to get advice from someone with more experience with diet and competing and could help me out with reaching my fitness goals. So..im just assuming emma doesnt want to have to help everyone on this site out, so any other suggestions on finding some help?

Well its her part time job - she doesn't do it free of charge - her fees are very reasonable though.

yes that makes a lot more sense i figured that....since i am studying nutrition and i do think i have a lot of knowledge on all of this when do you think it is neccessary to ask a professional for help? my boyfriend thinks it just takes time for me to figure out my body and that i need to just wait a few more months and see where im at, which i agree with somewhat. other people just make these huge transformations seem a little easier. im in great shape and i look very fit, but thats the problem...i want to be at my top level, not just a fit girl

How about michael and kendra elias? They have given some great personalized plans to both DawnMarie and FitnFirm (mostly girls from the supp forum) with some really great results. He works with what you like to eat, what you don't, he tweaks the plan as you go along....and he's VERY reasonable (right now). He was just named top online trainer I think? (but of course I don't remember WHO gave that award to them .)
Just my $.02!
