Ok this is my new journal, i stopped journaling before due to some stress in my life and getting a little obbsessive regarding my weight and not being able to lean up like i would like. So i felt a little down, so i took a time out. Not on exercising and lifting but on counting my cals and body measurements. I also took another approach to training and met a veteran bb. He is around 70yrs. and still looks incredible and is at the gym everyday. He has given me and new insight on maybe why im not leaning up like i would like too. Everyone's body is different. I have eaten the 6 meals a day every 2-3hrs, watched my carb intake, and cals, prot/carb/fat ratios. Also, i even had my meals with the carbs earlier in the day with adding my fat in the evening along with the protein and veggies. So this is my experiement per Charlie the guy above i was speaking about. Think about this question he stated back when they didnt have all the information of nutrition that we do now. How did BB keep their muscle mass and lean up??? Without know how much prot to eat? His thinking is maybe my body is not metabolizing the amount of prot i eat. So this week recently i just kicked my cardio up a notch.


Cardio***
M-No Cardio
T-40min slow and steady eliptical a.m. and p.m 45min Kickboxing
W-30min HIIT
TH-45min Kickboxing
F-40min slow and steady eliptical a.m.
Sat-30min HIIT
Sun-40min slow and steady eliptical a.m.

Training Days-5 sets 12-16 to failure 3-4 exercises per muscle group
M-Leg Day
T-Back
W-Shoulders
F-Chest
Sat-Tri's
Sun-Bi's

This has been my new training sched for couple of weeks now.

Hey girl!!! Welcome back!!! I was wondering where you went!

Very happy for you that you found a routine that you like. I too have gone through the obsessed and not happy stage, dropped off for awhile with the obsessing...found a new plan and felt much better! So that is awesome!!!

Quick question....where is your OFF day??? I don't see one between your cardio and your lifting. You really should have AT LEAST one rest day a week for your muscles to recover and get a break.

im going to go out on a limb and say that there are not enough cals in your diet for how your activity level is. (then again i do not know your weight height etc.)

Hey there! Welcome back to "the life". hehehe I'm an Army Wife too! My hubby is a prior service Marine, and so when he came back in, he had to go to Knox for the WTC. I flew out there for his graduation and it was COLD!!!

I have been at this for a very long time trying what doesn't work. Im still trying to find what works best for me. I am 5' 7 and now 164.4 lbs. Ouch!! it looks like i must have put on some muscle hopefully its muscle before i was 157 lbs.

And to no avail even with my cals in the range of 1500-1800 still no changes.

Ok so i just hired a pt/nutritionist to train me. I just broke down, and did it. She has won championships and has competed herself. So i have alot of faith in her and her ability. I cant wait, till i find out what her plan is for me.

Shoulders today have to figure out what my routine is going to be.

Cardio-40min steady state (eliptical)

I just ordered new shoes so hopefully no more shinn splints and i can get back to running

I think shes going to have me carb rotate I was hoping not ohhhwell, we'll see how i do.

I think your decision to go with the nutritionist was a great one!!!! They can be so helpful if they know what they're doing....and yours sounds like she does, considering she does it for herself and competes!!!!! Like I said to you in my journal...I think you'll be fine with carb cycling. Once you get into it and see results you'll get used to the no carb days and not mind looking forward to those high carb days!!! It just takes strictness and detertimantion which you seem to have A LOT of!!!

I often wonder what it'd be like to have a personal trainer in charge of me. LOL!! It would take all of the guessing out of it... and hopefully you'd know that you're doing exactly what it takes to succeed! VERY exciting! A personal trainer/nutritionist, how exciting!! I know what you mean about spinning your wheels only to keep ending up in the same place !! I can't wait to see what your new trainer has in store for you!!

So, today's Sat. I weighed myself on the scale today 161.2 lbs. must be water weight or something. No freaking...out. I hate the scale there's reason why we don't weigh ourselves

Ok, last night i had my very last cheeeeat meal!! I get my plan tommorrow so not sure what she has planned but have a little glimpse of carb rotation and calorie rotation. sounds complicated we shall see I am trying to figure out do i go and do another 40min of cardio today or just have a break???

No Training today***Still trying to decide on the cardio though.

Last night I had fillet mignon, baked potato :P (yum), salad, bread, fried zucchini ohhh and a slice of cold stone ice cream cake!! So as you can see i will be working this off for the next month or two. I had to make it count j/k.... we were celebrating a friends birthday. Although i turned down the alchohal, i figured i had done enough damage with what I had eaten.

Ok, so I'm going to go for my 2nd time too soon for Brazilian waxing. The first time was so painful so i'm not looking forward to it. What pain killers did you take before you go. I think I'm going to take one this time when I go.... It was just too painful last time!!!!!!

as far as cals go you should try and incorporate some Oatmeal into your meals.
