Quick question, I was recently told that changing your grip around from time to time while benching will make your chest grow alot faster. I'm not sure what I should think about that. Because right now I use a wide grip and have been using that for a few years now, just wandering what you guys thing...thanks

He was most liekly referring to doing close grip bench press. More of a tricep workout. Check the exercise database if you would like. www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.htm
Word up.

Barbell has helped me more with strength than size, even with proper diet (my diet was **** in high school and my chest still gained quite a bit.)I hate stupid.

This goes hand-in-hand with what Dave Tate talks about, in regards to bench pressing. Dave recommends the closer grip so the triceps take the load. This gives you more pressing strength and bigger powerlifting bench numbers. Ian points out that the wider grip will make your numbers go down but your chest will be activated more and this can lead to greater development.
