my philosophy on why shorter guys tend to complain more about women

Honestly, I think it's all a confidence issue. I am 5'7, and i've never really had a problem with girls, and although I would like to be taller and all, I doubt it will ever happen so eventually I just accepted it.

The funny thing is, I was always that really confident guy, but it wasn't until I started using the internet more and more and reading all these different articles of girls hating short men. Eventually, all these things got into my head, and I became much less confident ... and women notice these things right off! I was probably on a dry spell for about 6 months the beginning of my senior year, but realizing that the reason of me not getting any women had nothing to do with my height, but within myself, I finally realized that height really has nothing to do with getting women.

Sure, stereotypically, most women want a "tall, dark, and handsome" guy ... but cmon, most men want "big tits, round asses, awesome body and gorgeous face" ... but does that mean all men are going to strive for that? Of course not, and it works the same as women. Obviously some will, and some won't but thats jsut the name of the game.

So again, the fact that shorter guys complain about not getting women really has nothing to do with height IMO, but more with confidence ... because we see all these things in the media telling us that tall guys get everything, which may be true to an extent, but it definately doesn't leave you out of the game.

Remember, you can complain all you want, but I guarentee you that dude who is just going and enjoying himself in his own skin will be getting all the girls, regardless of height, skin tone, body type, weight, whatever....!!

Hugh Hefner - 5'8

But then again, if you're famous, it don't really matter ...

So............

The moral of this story is ... just become rich, and girls will like you no matter what.

I never cared either until I started reading all the articles on this site. Outside influences are much more harmful than anything else in my opinion.

Actually being short, overweight or having bad teeth/skin is a huge handicap no matter how much self confidence you have. The moment you see someone you sterotype that person based on the way they look. It is VERY hard for people to break out of these stereotypes especially in clubs bars etc. Confidence, personality and looks all synergize together to create attraction. You can lie to yourselves all you want saying it doesn't matter at all, but the fact of the matter is it makes a huge impact in woman finding you attractive.

LOL, I'm an strange. I usually don't bother with girls who are shorter than 5'4, I don't even give them the time. I'm friends with a couple but I could never date a girl who's shorter than 5'4(even if she was like 5'7-5'8 with heels).

There's this really cute chic who's 5'9 @ my job, I definitely have to get in there. This other chic who works at the office across from me usually jokes around that I'm always early for my shift or something, she's cute but she's also a short so I only see her as a friend.

A guy from my class is REALLY good with women. He's like over-confident, 169 centimeters tall and you can't count the women that want him :P

It's all a matter of confidence, skills and personality... Ofcourse looks including height has SOMETHING to say but it's not going to ruin your potential unless it's like extreme...

Height does matter but don't let that get you down. I'am 5'7'' on a good day too. I know that my height is about the only thing in my apperence that hinders me from meeting more women than I do already. I have a wonderful and beautiful gf(5'2'') and that's all that matters to me.

When I was in high school there was this short guy who had a hot, tall girlfriend. My friends and I used to laugh amongst ourselves over their height difference. Looking back, all I can think about is what douchebags we really were. ;/

umm height does matter a lot i think but that doesnt mean shorter guys wont get girls

like i look on myspace and a lot of girls just write taller than me...
and some yes write 6foot or w/e

I have noticed tho if u are like 6-6 2 these guys tend to get a lot of girls

me im 5'11 and girls like me because of my face i think and personality cuz im skinny as hell ... so w/e dont let it get u down to be short

i think they probably care more about face and how u make them feel/funny etc

before this thread, i almost never heard short people complain about their lack of dating being involved with the fact that they were short. i've made fun of short people my entire life jokingly because they have little man complex but in dating....i honestly dont think it matters unless you are shorter then 5'7'' 5'6''.......

Height helps a ton but it isn't the be all and end all. It matters more when you're younger but when you're out of college it really doesn't. I am 5'5 and a good amount of my friends get more girls than I do but I am very confident and hold my own. I always joke around saying that if I were taller I'd be a pure pimp but I'm fine with 5'5. It's more in your head than anything and like you said once you think about it they can see it in your eyes. Being short messed up my social life until I was about 17 and finally got over it. I've hooked up with girls that were taller than me given it was only an inch or two I'll take it. It can easily be a deal breaker for some women but don't worry about those girls there are more in the sea that are worth your time. It's all about confidence

Height is a subconcious indicator of power. Both Greek and Napoloenic soldiers wore large vertical crests for the sole purpose of intimidation. However, height does not = presence.

the biggest pimp i've ever come across in my life is a dude who is 5'2" and asian.. So he had alot going against him from the start but everybody loves this guy, guys and girls cause he's confident, funny and charasmatic.

I've been out with him twice and he just walks up to a big group of girls and they all love him within a few minutes, i've never seen anything like it. Last time i spoke 2 him he had ****ed 92 girls, he keeps a spread sheet lol.

Who wouldn't like 2 be taller but id prefer 2 be my height and pretty than 6'4" and ugly
