Latrell's Updated Mr. Olympia Predictions List, July 08:

This is my third predictions list, here it goes:

UPDATED July 08 2006 PREDICTIONS LIST:

    1. Ronnie Coleman: Do I really need to explain anything here?? Right now he's bigger and tighter than he's ever been, and KING RON will win his 9th and push pass Haney for the all time record.

    2. Jay Cutler: Good ol' Jay Cutler.. Every year he says he will do it, and he truely does believe it. Poor guy, he's the 2nd best bodybuilder in history but unfourtonately the best bodybuilder is the guy ahead of him. Jay will come in 2nd once again unless something goes wrong in Ronnie's preperation which is highly doubtful.

    3. Dexter Jackson: Dexter Jackson like we all know is going to nail it dead on the money, but unfourtonately this is the competition for the masses, and as good as he is there is no way he can edge pass Jay for that 2nd spot. A 3rd sport placing is a guarantee for D.J.

    4. Gustavo Badell: Losing to Dexter at the Arnold clearly showed the world that Dex was on top of Gustavo once again. Without the challenge round in place it'll be tough for Gustavo to gain momentum and do better than fourth.

    5. Gunter Schrilekamp: Gunter has clearly established he is one of the best, but he isn't the best. Gunter's placed top 6 for a good amount of years now and has shown great consistency, a top 5 is a very good placing for Gunter's'.

    6. Branch Warren: Two Pro wins and a top 10 in 05, and two 2nd places this year, Branch is going to show the world that he is part of that top 6 in the world. Unfourtonately for Branch his legs just over power the rest of his body, and he hasn't the time to bring up his arms and detail out his back. Branch is defenitely a mountain in terms of muscle but he's put together somewhat odd. Once Branch corrects those lagging body parts then he'll even climb higher up the ladder in years to come.

    7. Victor Martinez: Ronnie himself says he's his Heir Apparent, true, but maybe in a few years. People like the Branche's have made huge improvements and somewhat for now have knocked Victor out of that top 6. Branch has that 6 position guaranteed with his conditioning but the 5 and 7 spot can be flip flopped with Gunter and Victor based on who comes in better conditioned.

    8. Dennis James: At 5.8 270 this guys a BEAST. Dennis James as of now has packed on too much muscle. As of now a few guys have edged past Denis and he really can't make it up that mountain this year. But if Dennis cuts down a little and controls that gut he might move higher up in 07.

    9. Melvin Anthony: This guy shows off his physique very well. As of now he has great muscle maturity, great aesthetics and symmetry, and best of all a 27.5 inch waist. Even though he has one of the best V-tapers in the game, the Olympia is the game of the masses and he somewhat barely cracks the top 10 even though he has a beautiful physique.

    10. Toney Freeman: One of the oldest and the tallest guy at the competition around 6'2. Toney never placed well because at his height you need an unbelievable amount of mass. Toney has improved his physique a great bit, he is somewhat like the giant version of Dexter judging from his recent pictures. Unfourtonately his pec-tear throws him off, but a top 10 at the Olympia is what Toney is shooting for and he knows in the next couple of years he will crack that top 6.

    11. Chris Cormier: A disappointing 13th place finish at last years Olympia, and we haven't seen him since. He's been working with Dorian which can't do him harm but unfourtonately with a poor showing last year and us not seeing him yet we have not idea what he is capable of doing this year. He can not even qualify, or he can place in the top 5, so somewhere in the middle is a safe bet as of now.

    12. Ronnie Rockel: Won at the Australlian Grand Prix beating Vince and Lee. Ronnie has a very pleasing physique and he is still improving.

    13. Mustafa Mohammed: Mustafa like Branch has those massive quads, massive. Mustafa just looks like hes been packed on with a bunch of different muscle groups, but for some odd reason they just don't match together, so in essence he lacks aesthetics and symmetry a great amount. Even though he's got the same amount as mass as the top guys, Mustafa never nailing it with the combination of his unpleasing physique isn't going to get him in the top 10.

    14. David Henry: The kid doesn't even do cardio, but he's still the best conditioned, probably even superior to Dex. His bodyparts work well together, but what you can criqique on this guy are his wheels, they are pretty small compared to the rest of his physique. Unfourtonately David just gets lost in the crowd with his short stature and lighter frame and at a show like this he won't place will.

    15. Johnnie Jackson: Jeez, I really love jj. He has one of the nicest, pleasing physiques, but for some reason you can't predict place him high on the chart. Great back, huge delts, great pecs, great arms, just generally very pleasing. He is the strongest bodybuilder and trains with Branch, but out of the two Branch established himself and Johnnie Jackson has slipped far out of the loop. Johnnie will qualify but don't expect him to do well with this lineup.

    16. Troy Alves: Third at the Ironman, good physique, but way to much depth for Troy.

    17. King Kamali: Kamali will qualify for sure, but he isn't going to fair well. After that year off Kamali did improve his physique by cutting himself down and controlling his guy, but there aint no time machines and he aint gonna be back in 2001 ever again. Its just a combination of things, his gut, obliques, small arms etc.. Kamali might edge past Troy, but don't expect to see him in that top 15.

    18. Markus Ruhl: The German freakazoid giant Markus Ruhl. Ruhl placed 15th last at last years O and we still haven't seen him this year. Judging by his offseason pictures of this year, Ruhl looks simpily terrible, even for the offseason. Markus is just out of it and has completely lost control of his gut and his physique, and he is even going to be lucky to qualify for the Olympia. They use to cheer 'ROOOOOOOOHLLL' but now the chants are going to be a little closer to 'BOoooooooooooo'.!

    19. George Farah:George does show up tight, but those gun wounds and his small structure keep him out of the loop in this kind of lineup. If Farah's lucky in the sense that others don't show up well, he might just crack the top 15, but don't expect nothing.

NOTE: This is an updated list on the condition that these names don't compete: (which they have said so)
    1. Lee Priest
    2. Darrem Charles
    3. Phil Heath
    4. Bob Cicherillo
    5. Vince Taylor
    6. Bill Wilmore
    7. Kris Dim (not his year to qualify)
