According to the Wrestling-Observer Newsletter, a highly-ranked UFC official said that the company no longer plans to ignore WWE’s public “challenges.”
While UFC let Angle’s storyline “open challenge” to anyone from a 4-, 6- or 8-sided ring go unaddressed, it will not be doing that in the future. If WWE attempts to put one of its wrestlers over as superior to MMA fighters, it will respond to put public pressure on WWE to make the match happen.
“Now that we have exposure, we’re not going to be ignoring stuff like this. We’ll go public and have Chuck Liddell accept any public challenges or claims they’ll make,” the source said.

ANY competition is good...unless it makes Vince stoop to childish ****.

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

Actually, aside from Couture (one time) wrestlers have a ****ty track record against the Iceman. You gotta outstrike him, and Rampage showed that it isn't impossible.

If Vince goes along with this and its not scripted the UFC stars are going to run a clinic on the WWE. I hate to say it but its true. Even with some stand up training, Angle would be no match to someone of Chuck's or Matt Hughes calibur. To me it would be a bad idea.

This sounds interesting - like to hear something like this go down.
I believe Angle would be our best bet - though with the condition he's in, it's not something I'd be too happy about seeing.
Even Chris Benoit, for the sake of arguement could do well if he put in a good amount of training time.
But regardless, would UFC allow WWE suffiencent training time?Professional Wrestler since 2007 (Currently on hiatus)
