I started working out at age 65 - ( motivation came from a family member mentioning that I looked a little "frail") I have been going to the gym for nearly 2 years, working out for an hour 3 times a week and have had a personal trainer for the last 3 months. I am pleased with my progress but am curious about what further well defined muscle-building might be possible under reasonable circumstances (good diet with some protein supplement).
I am interested in hearing of anyone else's experience at this age and whether there are some published articles (to possibly include photos) about bodybuilders in their late sixties that I might be able to get hold of.

GO FOR IT ANDY!!!
First let me say CONGRATS!!! I think you are smart smart person...age is mind over matter anyway...if we dont mind ..age doesnt matter...LOL
muscle definition is going to be a three fold factor...building the muscle, stripping away the subcutaneous fat that hides the muscle..and the hydration factor...
now.. I am a bit blonde on the hydration factor as my folks tell me drink drink drink that water... but then a lot of the cutting supplements are big diuretics ,, so why am I drinking all this water... cant I save myself the carrying it to the bathroom?? Be careful with the diuretic supps..please get doctor approval about any supplement that has diuretic or thermogenic properties...
sounds like you got the building muscle thing down... and a 60 minute workout will get you into a fat burning metabolism... I think you need to keep doing what you are doing...
What is your diet like ?? That would be something I would look at right now??

There was a pic of Frank Zane in an IRONMAN edition about a year ago. Still has the shape and the symmetry, but has lost some size, which is only natural considering his age and some injuries he's had over the years. He did, of course, use steroids when competing, and he's on HRT now, I believe. How much of that contributes to his size and how much of his size is achieved through sensible training is debatable, but he still looks pretty good nonetheless.

Premature balding, BH; a lot of guys get it...
Oddly enough, Bass, when very young, resembled Leonardo DiCaprio quite a bit. Bass, to me, is very lean, although not wildly muscular, and he never was. But the fact that he's stayed lean for so long is something that I can respect. I also find it odd that he's on statins, yet he's supposedly eaten very healthy all his life. Makes me wonder about the role of diet vs. genetics."Don't call me Miss Kitty. Just...don't."--Catnip. Check out the Catnip Trilogy on Amazon.com
