Hey, I went back to a 3 day split, mwf lift trs cardio for cutting this summer and its just not working. For one I dont have the energy for cardio some days, and I really feel like I'm losing strength depite a decent calorie intake. So can you guys help me come up with a 6day lifting routine, but not a 1 body part a day kind. I've never lifted 6 days a week for cutting so I'm curious as to how I should proceed.
I was think of a modified 5x5 where I add direct work on the off days and compounds only on the normal days, only assitance would be situps every other day. What do you think?

Hi there AshyLarry. In the same comp thread as yourself.
I did 2 x 2day splits when I first started, though I've moved onto a more structured full body program in the form of 5x5.
As of next week, I'm moving onto HST, which is said to be good for both cutting and bulking.
Keep in mind, as long as you're working your muscles to retain, and doing cardio to lose fat then you're on the right track.
So personally, I recommend the 5x5 for the cut.Neglecting strength no more: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=1000362
