Getting a pump b4 the beach,date, pool?

Does anybody else here hit the gym or lift before going to the beach or on a date to get a decent pump happening?
My Dad laughs and laughs and says I'm vain, lol!

when ure 6 ft and 208 like me u don't need to pump up lol - muscle can help u attract attention but its talking that keeps the attention of girls - u got low esteem if u need to pump up b4 u go out

i don't think it's likely he/she would notice that your arms have shrunk and you've become less vascular. it doesn't just happen suddenly; your muscles take time to drain.
and so what if your date notices? a pump can last for a long time; i can look pumped for a few hours after a workout. all that happened was you worked out earlier in the day and your pump is wearing off. so what? why should your date automatically assume that you pumped up in order to look good for the date? it just so happened that your date was on a workout day... so f*cking what?

i personally wouldn't do it. your mind would be on your date during the workout; you wouldn't be concentrating properly and your workout quality may not be as good.
i train for myself; not for the girls - that's just a nice side effect. if girls suddenly stopped liking muscle and prefered skinny guys, i wouldn't care. i'd keep on lifting weights because i'd be doing it for myself, not anyone else.

but if you are doing it for the girls (and i have no problem with you if you are), why shouldn't you pump up before a date? you're doing it for the girls in the first place, so what's wrong with pumping up before going to meet your girlfriend?
a lot of people would find that kind of thing vain, but bodybuilding in itself is vain - think about it. building muscle, getting yourself to look symmetrical, tanning, shaving, posing - there is a lot of vanity in bodybuilding. you're doing it to look good; you're not doing it just to get stronger or you'd be doing powerlifting. for bodybuilders, physical appearance means a lot.
