This jr bench made me weaker?

    Hey guys,

I was lifting during school as my class was weightlifting and it worked pretty well, but now schools out and i cant quite get a gym pass yet as in about 3 weeks i will have my liscense and i gotta see how much money i have left after gas/insurance/etc.

To the point, in the mean time, i have this jr bench in which it really confuses me.
The Bar i BELIEVE is 15lbs as i held it while on the scales and i came up like 14.5lbs heavier, so im guessing its 15lbs? I looked online for the bench but no luck...
But yes, i rep very nicely 155, but adding 60lbs on each side of THIS bar makes it feel like 155lbs? But it's only 135lbs? It confuses me. I dont understand how its 20lbs less but it feels the same?

To the main point...last summer i decided to just lift at my house the summer as i didnt know of this, and at the end of the school year i was repping 135lbs about 10x. After working out all summer like 3x a week(i was sore after each time, healed up with protein) I come back to school and i can only do 135lbs 3x wtf? I dont understand it at all.

Can anybody help me try and figure out what could be happening?

I dont know if i should even attempt to work out with this bench? Maybe just do free weight bench and auxilaries to try and keep the muscle until i can get a gym pass.

What do you think? Any ideas?

    Thanks, ps2cho

How Was your nutrition over summer? too many variables present to pin point one cause, were u taking creatine, was bar more or less weight etc etc.

I did notice myself though 2 weeks of partying a couple of months ago decreased by bench about 10lbs poor nutrition too much alcohol.

But there is no way to know for sure, so just get back to lifting again as normal and forget about it.

Is it possible that the bar is shorter... weight postioning has an influence too... i donno if its a 20lb difference but i know if you put on like a 45-25-5-5 it is slightly harder to do then 45-35 on each side. as for the getting weaker it could be anything from diet, not getting enough sleep, not lifting right (form).

    Hope this helps
