Is this, if not a solid fact, quite true? I read many times not to do cardio after 4 pm cuz insulin level is high, thus you wont burn any fats...
Sorry, again, Im new at fat loss. Im an ecto so I bulked hard for 1 year, and now got a few fats in my belly.
Anyway another thing, Im 5'10", 185 lbs. I wanna make it down 160 lbs. I have a waistline of 33, and want it down to 32. How many lbs. worth of fat do you think that is?
THANKS! REPS!

I don’t believe that’s true, I do my cardio after I work out. Best times for cardio are in the morning right after you wake up or right after you work out. Going from a 33 to a 32 should not take much weight at all, maybe 4 lbs, if you’re a 33 inch waist you do not want to get all the way down to 160 IMO you would look like a stick.--LQ
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice THAT we fail to notice there is little we can do to change until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.

Cardio instead, serves to increase your metabolism overall such that you can burn fat throughout the day more efficiently. Many here advocate HIIT cardio because of its long lasting effects after the workout.
That being said, cardio can burn fat while it is being performed. To do this, you must ensure that insulin is very low, and that the intensity is not too high. Fat burning requires oxygen, and high intensity cardio requires more oxygen than low intensity cardio. If the body does not receive enough oxygen to burn fat, it will burn something else. Many people perform cardio early in the morning before eating. This ensures that insulin levels will be low.

Anyway cardio, in my experience there has no noticeable difference based on the time ive done it. I prefer a good 20 mins of HIIT most, its quick and very effective, im of the opinion that for cardio to be most effective one should be crawling by the end. The idea is to get your heart rate going so fast that it will be up for a long time after you've finished hence burning calories. Usually, i try to build my speed up by 1MPH per minute so by the 8th or 9th minute im doing around 11-12 MPH, then after the sprint minute is done, do it from 4MPH again up to thesprint. I've just started doing boxing, now thats more tiring than running ive found! try it!!
hope this helps

I am not 100% sure, but insulin can linger in your systems for hours after a big meal. Earlier, I stated that your insulin could only be high at 4pm if you ate sugar at 3pm. This was overly simplistic, so please do not take it for absolute truth. If you eat lunch at 12 noon...chances are that by 4pm, most of that insulin is actually starting to taper off and disappear.
Sugar also takes many forms. Baked Potatoes have suger, and it can quickly affect your blood sugar such that large amounts of insulin are released. Potatoes do not taste sweet at all...so what gives? I am just reminding you that sugar takes many subtle forms.

I think it also depends on the person as well...if you have lots of fat to lose (like me) it doesn't matter when you do it. this week...I'm down 3lbs already...I take in most of my carbs 3 hours before and 1 hour after lifting...the rest of the day is fibrous veggies and protein...I also feel great doing 30 mins cardio after leg day...with only protein after the workout then an hour later the pWO meal..

If you burn sugar off instead of fat during cardio, you'll just lose the fat later when your body would normally be burning sugar. It doesn't matter too much but yes, I do my cardio when I wake up.
