Does anybody know of a good juice that is low or no sugar to mix with liquor. I would like to stay away from soda, even diet, because I drink absolutely no soda, and I have got to stop drinking beer. So a good low sugar/low cal mixer would be great if anybody knows of one

Bacardi and Diet Coke
Smirnoff and Sprite Zero
Smirnoff and Sugarfree Redbull
Alcohol is still the worst part of the drinking equation though. Try drink only a few times a month if possible for best results.History: Mar, 2001: 135lbs @ ~14% | Nov, 2004: 245lbs @ ~40% | Dec, 2006: 168lbs @ 5.5%ish | Nov, 2008: 177lbs @ 5.5%ish | Dec, 2016: 179lbs

well, all alcohol becomes sugar anyways. luckily it's burned fairly easily but still not that great for you.
That being said I could never give up drinking. If one night a week i couldn't go out with my boys and have a good time, I woudln't last and woudln't be happy.
For all the "amped up" body builders on the site that will probably find this thread and be like "OH MAN YOU CANT DRINK YOU JUST DONT WANT IT BAD ENOUGH" I just have to say that I've had great success the last few months, drinking once a week.
Usually it's scotch on th e rocks. sometimes i'll let myself have a gin martini, up. But usualyl, 151 and diet in a tall glass does the trick.

if you must have a juice, find some tart cherry concentrate. stuff is cheap in retrospect to buying some juice. and if at a health foods store it comes with no added sugar making for a very healthy juice. mix it with some water or carbonated water and some gin, or do the concentrate in a shotglass with maybe some vodka layered ontop.

Well guys I think I have found the perfect drink. Captain Morgan original and orange aid. 5 cals in the orange aid, zero sugar zero carbs, and 60 cals in the captian, and again zero sugar and carbs. The only problem with yager bombs with surgar free red bull, is that yager contains sugar. So for all you drinkers out there trying to loose weight, try the captian and orange aid.

But remember, alcohol itself has 7 calories per gram. Not only that, but the body burns acetate (the form of energy provided by alcohol) preferentially over anything else.
And your body can only process 1/2 ounce of ethanol in one hour. So a huge percentage of whatever you eat while drinking will be stored as fat, as your body will use acetate for energy until it's completely gone before it burnes fats, carbs or proteins.
Keep that in mind.

explaining alcohol calories
If alcohol has 7 calories per gram, and a carbohydrate has 4 calories per gram, is alcohol considered a carb???
Does it burn like sugar?store like sugar?
I have endlessly researched the carb content of liquors and red wine to see if I can count it in...(should count it in)...and all charts say it has trace carbs.
So what the heck is it?
And how does it play into the calorie-protein-carb-fat ratios I try to keep daily?
I like red wine, and diet cranberry with vodka.
How does this affect my carb count for the day?
If I've been prescribed gluco****e, will this help metabolize the alcohol rather than store it?

Normally I'll drink light beer, Guiness, vodka martini dirty dirty, or wine when I do drink. Really, drink what you like since you're drinking and at that point why worry? The only stuff I avoid is drinks with juice, simple syrup, or reg. soda.

It does not burn like sugar. It either produces energy through the TCA cycle or it is stored as fat.
It does not fit in your carb-protein-fat ratios because it is not a nutrient. It is pure energy and therefore empty calories. It won't effect your carb count, only your calorie count.
Gluco****e helps to metabolize glucose. It will do nothing for alcohol.
Red wine has antioxidants and can be quite healthful in moderation, but if you're cutting I mean serious moderation.
