    Can u still gain muscle and strength while doing cardio

    hey, i weight train 6days a week and do 15minutes of skippin after, i heard skippin was good cardio and 10mins of skipping is equivalent to 30mins of running. will i still gain strength and muscle while doin cardio 6days a week?

    ummm i believe that training for six days is overtraining. Cut it down to at least five days and cardio after a workout is okay but make sure you drink a protein shake to prevent catabolism.

    youre 15 and unless you take steroids you dont need to workout more than 3-4 days a week. you GROW on the off days thats why I do 3 days a week. and of course you can gain muscle/strength while doing cardio. how else would NFL players be so big and tough. you think they dont do cardio?

    contrary to what people here will tell you doing cardio for less then 30-45 minutes isnt catabolic
