    its alright. Simple carbs are necessary post workout and even thouh there are some things that would be better, like dextrose or something similar ( i drink juice myself- its decent and works well for me) but white bread is great if you have nothing better around.

    People reccommend white bread post workout because it is absorbed quite quickly, however there are much better choices of post workout carbs because most white bread has very little nutritional value and is very refined. Rather gobble down a banana or an apple.

    apples are low gi, somewhere around 30 I believe so dont eat an apple post-wo. A shake with whey, dextrose and a banana or oats will do just fine to meet your goals and halt catabolism.
