for you teens how do you dress when you go to the gym. do u wear certain clothes or brand names, or even cologne when u work out. any clothes in particular? what brand names?
Ok the reason i am asking this is that i had this huge argument with a freind. i was saying that its mostly teens who dress up to go to the gym and try to impress by what they wear, whether it be a white wife beater with a choker or underarmour or whatever. my friend was saying its mostly like guys in their 20's who dress like that. hey teens help me prove him wrong. LOL. reps to all who response.

i work out at my school and i can definteally see that the older guys who r not really big wear nice shorts and nice shirts and stuff in there but the serious fwe of us just wear shirts that dont' really get in the way (shirts that aren't really tight but aren't baggy) and then just shorts that r jsut about my knees
your there to lift not to look good

Wow... do you people go to the gym to actually workout, or strut around like a bunch of morons?
I wear an old t-shirt and some shorts. Same thing, every time. No cologne; I barely wash my workout clothes once a week. Who the hell cares? I go to the gym to get big and strong, not dress nice. It isn't a social event, people.

It doesn't matter what you dress up in if you wanna dress up in a XXXXXL shirt and go to lift good for you. If you want to lift in boxers and under armour go ahead. The way i see it who cares if you want to impress someone im sure thats why some people workout to look good for others but, if you want to wear nice shorts and a nice shirt it wont effect how you workout just do what ever you want as long as it doesn't effect yourself. For me its just a nice fitting shirt long or short and some shorts that go above my knees so it doen't effect my squating or deadlifting.

question? how many times has someone been in the gym and someone comes out of no where and says hey nice workout shirt where did u get? it for me none and if u are there to hit on girls why are u in the gym taking up space for people that go there to train my advice is if u are more worried about what to wear then what u are lifting get the F^&* out of my gym and away from the equipment i could be useing u are just wasting the weight.

hmm
I don't know about that. At my gym, EVERYONE [well except a few highschoolers with 8.5 inch arms] wears XL tshirts and wear either a sweatshirt or a jacket on top and workout. I didn't get the logic of this initially, I still don't but I guess I have also adapted to the same attire subconsciously. I myself always wear a soprts vest and a sweatshirt on top.
One interseting point though: I hadn't noticed how big most guys were at my gym cause of the XL'S. Then one day, about 4 months after I joined this particular gym, all of them were practising their poses for some competition. DAMN WERE THEY BIG. Funny, those with 19inh guns wear XL's and the 8.5 inchers wear ..well muscle T's.
Btw, abercromwannabe, save your reps for posts that deserve it dude

Its very important to me how i look and yes I do where brand names but I dont go over the top whereing very expencive things or buying things perticularly to go to the gym in. for example:
Nike Dri-Fit White or dark blue T-shirts
Addidas Preditor 3/4 length white or gray or black tracksuit bottoms
Silver Nike Airs
So they are brand names but not the very expencive ones and they are still sports clothes but they have to look good
And yes everything has to be wasked before I where it lol
And I also where F**K LOADS of deoderentLast edited by SKRIBUL; 06-18-2006 at 02:29 AM.
