Asthma
I looked for a topic on this and havent found one, but i didnt look for a long time. Anyways, as you can probably tell, I have asthma. This does interfere with working out and running sometimes. Anyone else have it? And any tips on how to work out if you do have it? Or will it ever go away?

Depends on what kind of asthma it is...
A lot of asthma is exercise induced, which in that case it may cause problems with your lifting, running, etc. depending on how severe the case. I know I used to have exercise-induced asthma in middle school and whenever we would do runs for PE class my chest would tighten up and I would start wheezing. The best thing to do is see a doctor and get a prescription for an albuterol inhaler. They help tremendously for immediate relief during exercise.
On the other hand, if your asthma is sinus or allery related then you need to focus on keeping your allergies controlled, but it won't affect exercise I don't think.

well, whenever I'm doing something that gets my heartrate up or alot of breathing my chest feels like a huge fat guy is sitting on it and it sounds like I got a wistle crammed down my throught. How much does an appointment and all that cost? (I have to pay for all that stuff myself, my dad is too cheap and doesnt care )

A couple questions first...
1) Are you out of shape?
2) Do you smoke tobacco products of any kind?
I can't really tell you how much it costs for an appointment and all that. It depends on which physician you see. But if you have a tight chest and have that whistling sound because of the wheezing you definately need to get checked out because if you don't get some help treating it, it's going to hinder all your physical activity for life or unless the condition goes away (which happened to me). Regardless of cost, I think it would be in your best interest to find a way to get it taken care of.

Well I have seasonal and exercise athma. I was doing an EC stack for part of my cut and before taking the ephedrine I would get attacks once in a while, and I did not notice not getting any while on the stack, but when my bottle of ephedrine ran out I started getting them again.
Just a thought.

At the moment I use a power breath device. This strengthens the diaphragm & helps your lungs open more.
My cousin at the moment is pregnant & suffering from chronic asthma. She is currently using a power breath device & its helping her alot.

But I havent had a propper attack since then I just have a bad patches of about 2 weeks about once a year and I only ocasionally feel tight chested and wheesy usually after a long run or playing with animals but It isnt bad and it dosent usually stop me doing anything. I use a terbutaline sulphate inhaler.
