My Arms - this is so pathetic helpp

Here we go again, well my arms are 16", im 5'11 and 202.5. Everything else on my body besides calves are big. WHY dont my arms grow? I have had 16" like 2 years ago. There is something wrong and I have the worst genetics. Other people do the samething and they grow so easy. I do standing barbell curls, 1 arm dumbell preacher curls, hammer curls. I have tried everything. For triceps I do close grip bench, french presses, weighted dips and cable pushdowns. This makes me so mad, I wish my arms were atleast 17". I dont think my arms will ever grow. I really dont think my arms will grow easy because I have broad shoulders that are 57.5" and people tell me I have long arms.

    16" sounds about right/proportional for 200 lbs.
Get up to about 220 or more while increasing your pressing and pulling strength and continuing to do whatever arm exercises you like, and your arms will be bigger.

    It's not rocket surgery

16" arms for a 200lb lol, My friend is like 195 and he has 17.5". Everyone has bigger arms than me. Everything else grows besides my arms. I could probably bench so much, I can feel my arms give out because my triceps are so weak.

well you should focus more on triceps they make up the bigger part of the arm. try some overhead extensions to work the long head also

Assuming that you already have a decent diet, do compound movements, and have given yourself time to grow (your whole body, not just your arms), I'd recommend:

    1) Prioritizing Arms by training them if your first session of the week
    2) Make a conscious effort to increase weight and put all of your mental and physical energy into your training
    3) Allow 2-3 days between your arm session and the day(s) you train Back and chest
4)Experiment with different rep ranges + volume
    5) Not sure how long you have been training, but if you're fairly advanced, you could also experiment with added a lighter weight, higher rep day 1-2 times a month for arms, as long as it doesn't overlap too much with your overall rest times. (although I wouldn't do this unless you have exhausted all other options, as you may not need it)

Edit: and #6 - Stop whining

BigMan: prioritizing can mean something way more: meaning, doing 2 to 3 arms workouts a week!!!

with this method, you basically "carry" the rest of the body for a while, doing only ONE Chest/back/shoulder workout per week....and an abbreviated one at that.....

the arm workouts are all supersets, and the workout should be completed in 25 minutes or less!

    do no legs.......

you are specializing: do this for a couple of months and see what happens....I assume you will be eating plenty and well......

    I'm 180lbs 5'11" 16" arms cold.. i dunno if it's relatively considered big...
but i'd consider doing more weighted close grip chinups and dips... dont exhaust ur arms all the time.. just train them heavy and lightly... not to failure every set..

Damn straight your arms are considered big!! Im 5'10" and 170 lbs, and I cant get my arms beyond 14.75"! I max out with sets of 6 ezbar curls with 85 lbs, and do tricep extentions with 78 lbs, and still wont grow the arms beyond this. My arm work out features biceps: 5 sets ezbar curls up to 85 lbs, plus 3 sets of dumbell curls with 40 lb dumbells once a wk.. I do a secondary session with the same weight, but half the sets on another day. For Tris, I do 3 sets of cg benchpress followed by 5 sets of skull crushers with 73-78 lbs once per wk. Seems like a reasonable arm workout for me, but I sure would like to get them over 15"...

I totally agree. Add overall mass to your body and your arms will grow too. When i started lifting i wanted big arms and all i did were isolation exercises for them. They stayed at 15" and i was 185lbs. (sad i know.) Since then i learned to bring up my whole body: back, legs, chest, shoulders, etc. and now that i'm reaching my 2nd year mark I weigh 220lbs and my arms are 17.25" cold. Just remember to not give up, eat like hell, lift religiously, and get the right amount of rest. You'll get big. Have faith.
Getting bigger and stronger all the time. My only opponent is myself. The mirror is my only honest friend. I am my most unforgiving critic. But i will be the best i can be.

First don't compare your growth to others. Next make sure you are eating enough. Finally it takes time. Overall mass increase will net bigger arms. You may need to revamp your routine. Try inspecting your diet then doing an established program for 12 weeks.

Agreed. My arms are around 17.5" cold at last measurement, about a month ago - and I weigh 250 lbs. 16" is nothing to be shy about - not huge, but about right for 200 lbs. I'd be worried if you were carrying 18's around with that bodyweight - in fact, I'd assume you're a "chest and biceps" boy and tell you to train something other than arms.

So, for my 5/10" 170 lbs frame (pre breakfast weigh-in), and 1.5 yrs of lifting, are you saying that my (almost) 15" arms arent terrible? Its not like they havent grown.. I mean, 1.5 yrs ago before I started lifting, they measured a measley 12.25", proving that Im basically just a skinny Fxxx. So 3" in 1.5 yrs sounds pretty good to me, for a natual lifter. And the rest of me has grown accordingly... But still, Id like another inch or so, and Id be happy. (on my arms, that is! )

Yes it's pretty good, of course to add another inch you will need to add more everywhere, probably another 15-30 lbs.

Get up to about 220 or more while increasing your pressing and pulling strength and continuing to do whatever arm exercises you like, and your arms will be bigger.

    It's not rocket surgery
I'm all out of proportion! lol. I'm less than 200, and my arms are bigger than that. However, I would say that if my arms got any bigger I would have to SERIOUSLY add more size all over. I like my balance as it stands.

Of course there is a range you know that, you are likely pretty lean and towards the higher end of the bell curve.

Yes... it must truly be painful to have everyone talk about how big your arms are

I can throw a rock and hit 50 teens (maybe with one shot) that would like your "problem"

I'm still foolish, just ask my ex, she will tell you

Nobody is throwing rocks! When I give advice, I start by thinking "what should someone have told me 15 years ago?" and one of those things would have been "Quit fussing about your arms..." Oh wait, my lifting mentor DID tell me that. Good old Jeff Kegley. "Can't fire cannons from a canoe" he was like some kind of 6'2" 230lb muscular Confuscious.

Same here. I'd much rather have someone say something about my back width/thickness or leg size. I bust my hump on those bodyparts. And although they're coming along nicely, to this day, people still comment on the size of my arms. Genetics is a funny thing.

You will soon be drowning in a pool of teenage resentment and angst. Every 140lb guy on this site just wrote your name in lipstick on their "most hated" list.

You can't expect your average "civilian" to note huge backs or nice legs. Uncultured masses that they are.
