Red face Dealing with *surgery*

So I am finally getting my boobas back! For the past year they have been disappearing more and more every day. However, I am nervous about not working out for 3 weeks! And after surgery it seems hard not crave chocolate and sugar! I've slowing been moving further long, and I don't want to take three leaps back due to the breast augmentation. While I'm not working out should I still keep my protein intake high? How long does it take for muscle to deteriorate? How did anyone else’s surgery/recovery go?

I just had mine done on May 26th and was back in the gym last Saturday. I only took 2 weeks off per my dr's advice. I was terribly worried about the effects of the break, but I definately needed the rest. I kept my eating pretty much the same, but didn't worry too much about it if I wanted to cheat. I say take the 3 weeks and just relax, you're going to need it. And when you get back to the gym you'll feel 10 times better. I haven't noticed any muscle deterioration, just some softer spots that I'm sure will go away within a week or so back in the gym. I'm lifting a little less than I was before, but only because of the soreness from the surgery. I think my strength is about the same. Hope this eases some of your worries, good luck!!!

I researched my BA for years. These are the things that reading about it didn't quite compare to the actual experience...

For the first 3 days you are going to feel like sh!t After the 3rd day you start feeling better.
Your body goes through heck with the anethesia and all the antibiotics, you are going to be extremely bloated for at least a week. It is completely normal.

I was prescribed percocet, but on the 3rd day i switched to extra strenth tylenol. I didn't like how the medication made me feel.

Your apetite is going to be gone for awhile, and the pain meds make you naseous. Don't eat heavy meals for like the first 3 days.
Drink water to flush out all the medication...Drink Gatorade too (you need the extra electrolites).

To be perfectly honest it feels like 200 pound guy is sitting on your chest, and the hardest is sitting up in bed. That feeling lasts for awhile. When you first wake up, you are stiffer than you would ever imagine...some ladies call it "morning boobs."

I wasn't allowed to raise my arms for 2 weeks, they had to stay at the side.
You aren't allowed to lie flat to sleep for about 2 weeks... It is a royal pain in the a$$ (literally)! You need at least 4 pillows to prop you up. Your tailbone is going to hate you.

Some doctors don't let you shower until the stitches come out, if you are lucky your doc will put water proof bandages over them so that you can. I had areola incisions... there are 0 scars. The incision was about 1 and a half inches. You will feel random weird pains while the nerves are regening. Some women lose all feeling in their nipple, and some get extra sensitive nipples.

I wasn't allowed to go to the gym for a month, and wasn't allowed to do yoga for 2 months.
And I am never allowed to do certain chest exercises again. Some docs allow you to do slight cardio from the 2nd week, but you have to keep bouncing to a minimum.

There are a bit more gruesome details about it that I wish I knew before I went through with it, and I hate how reality T.V. makes it look like a walk in the park. This surgery is not for everyone, and my heart goes out to ladies that have had complications.

Make sure that you are aware of all complications, like C.C., bottoming out, rippling and infections. Getting a boob job isn't usually a once in a lifetime surgery, you will probably have to get it redone at least once or twice later on (even if you didn't have complications).

I had it done 4 months ago, and I had 0 complications. I went with the best P.S. in Miami, regardless of cost.
I had under the muscle, saline both filled to 350 cc, which makes me a 34 D. I started with a 34 B.

I hope this helps you! Good luck! If you have any questions at all, just msg me.

Hey! Just very important to listen to your PS!!! I was able to do cardio after 2 weeks and wasn't able to lift for 8 total. I lost some muscle but , when I got back to lifting I had better gains. I didn't worry about diet (at first I did)but I needed to gain a little anyway. I have said this in the past forums regarding the surgery, Just be sure to take it easy, because I have a friend who competes and she had to have hers done twice, because she didn't listen to her PS and tore the pocket the implant is in and her implant shifted and it ended up on her side! Just don't overdo it! Everyone heals differently.
I was doing laundry and dishes the very next day. I didn't even need pain killers. I know alot of girls who went shopping the next day! Just listen to your PS and you will be fine! Good Luck! oh waite a few months before you buy new bras, your boobs change and when you think your one size, you end up being a completely different size later!

I had my boobs done a year and 4 mo. ago. I was really worried about my time out of the gym and losing everything I worked so hard for. Anyhow my recovery was pretty smooth and I didn't think the pain was that bad at all. My PS told me if I was up to it I could go back to the gym in a week for just cardio which I did but took it slow. The he said I could start light weights at 2 weeks which I did.Oh by the way my PS is a Pro natural body builder too and alot of his clients are bodybuilders and figure competitors also.
I guess my diet at the time when I was out wasn't that great since your appetite isn't quite the same. But when I got back to the gym I had my friend/trainer do my body fat w/ her Lange calipers which had gone up and was 21.8 % after surgery. I worked at slow progression in the gym taking it easy. Wasn't allowed to do chest for 6 weeks. But in a matter of being back on my diet and weight training w/ cardio in a matter or 3 or 4 weeks of consistency I drop down to 18 % BF. Not bad I thought. Don't worry the time will pass so fast you won't believe it. It's some what inevitable that you will lose a bit of muscle and gain a bit of fat. But it's so minimal really and so worth the sacrifice. You'll be happy you did it in the long run. Muscle has memory and you'll see how fast they respond once you get back in the gym. Good luck
