    Post How many Protein Shakes a day is good for bulking?

    hey guys, i know eat , eat, eat but right now im taking Superpump250 pre workout and cell tech post workout along with 2 scoops of 100% whey....throughout the day ill have about 6-7 scoops in total. is that too much or not enough for building muscle? whats more important for gaining weight...alot of protein or alot of calories?

    There isn't a definite answer to your question it all depends on your calorie goals for your bulk. I mean if you can eat real food to get to your goals then do so, but using a whey shake to help or "supplement" your goals are okay.

    Agreed except for the first shake needs to be Whey and you need to take it immediatly upon waking to stop catabolism.

    just multiply your bodyweight by 2....then you want to consume that many grams of protein daily. After all your protein from food is factored in...drink however many protein shakes you need to reach your bodyweight X 2 in grams....

    all of the above advice is good but you definetly need more cell-tech if you want to get huge.

    I somewhat disagree. I think in the am th ebody needs more of a glucose source and insulin stimulator. I think ideally you would want to drink some type of high sugar drink like grape juice followed shortly after by whey. If you drink whey in the am chances are a good amount of the protein will be converted to glucose rather then be utilyzed as protein.

    Ideally, you want to take in whey protein because it is absorbed quickly by the body and by sleeping you go into a fasted state so to get the anabolic ball rolling whey protein is preferred. Of course you want to take in some carbs for breakfast as well with the whey.

    Is Superpump250 and cell tech a good stack? i know your going to say drop the cell tech but i already have it and its actually pretty good..and i weigh 155lbs. so i need about 300g protein a day to gain muscle? what if i eat 200g?

    I don't think you need that much protien. Especially if most of it comes from whole foods. I was only eating about 200g a day mostly from whole foods and I was gaining nicely. Oh yeah I weigh about 250lbs.

    200 grams should be close to sufficient. I would say at least 1.5 grams per lb of bodyweight. However I have been upping my protein intake more and more over the years and now I get about 2 grams per lb.
