All, I am in the process of trying to decipher which of the following would be most beneficial to realize the increased protein synthesis effects of ecdy:

1) ecdysterone
2) 20-beta-hydroxyecdysterone
3) Rhaponticum carthamoides

20 ecd is an ecdysterone............Cyanotis Vaga contains ecdysterones AND 20-ECD u also need about 400mg a day of 60% cyanotis vega extact a day....other than that get ur 1.5g per 1lb of bodyweight for protein and go to the gym.

I love debates about ecdy!! or not

I've taken label recomended dosages of rhodi and 20-ecdy, I can tell you I've had very different results from both...

When I took ecdy(got some waiting for me for another round actually), I was doing Dynamic Tension workout, by Hary Wong 3x/week... laugh if you want, then let me hit you if you don't think it works.... any way, had been doing it for about 2 months straight, great results.... getting solid muscle, my wearhouse job was getting easier, sitting around 195, 19%(cardio what???)

Grabbed Syntra EC, took 400mg in the morning w/ nitrotech... no special diet, just generaly balanced, prob 2000 average a day... in 3 weeks, I was at 200lbs, 16%....
That's about 10 lbs of muscle in 3 weeks time AFTER working out for 2 months prior to that...

Rhodi 300mg... 3%/1%, felt great, did recover faster and my cardio improved(eliptical), but nothing like ecdy....

Pretty much it comes to this.... Not everything works for every Body.. Doseage is important, but diet comes first, and once you find something that is right by you, stop posting these damn things!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thinking about stacking the Rhodiola Rosea Powder with Bacopa Monnieri.
I am thinking that because they are both adaptogenic, and help the body deal with stress, this should help with recovery, limit cortisol production, and ultimately lead to lower BF. That, plus the possibility of increased protein synthesis. Rhodiola has also shown to increase energy and workout endurance.

I've seen dosing for the Rhodiola from 100g to 500g. What do you suppose I should try as a daily dose? Also, what about the bacopa dosing. Lastly, is there any chance of increased protien synthesis with adding 20-hydroxystrone to this stack? If not, as stated before, lowering stress should increase net protein turnover anyhow. Correct?

why don't you just try out "Anagen"? it has all 3 of the ingredients you're wanting to use in it.

I would have to take like 4-6 doses per day to reach the amounts I want. It would cost a small fortune. That is unless, Scivation would be willing to sponsor this type of log.

Ive been saying for years someone needs to make a straight Rhodiola/Bacopa product. Those 2 only...

i don't believe that either of those are available online. if they are, i haven't been able to find them anywhere. i know that Ron has a paper copy of those and a ton of other studies. I believe chuck said he had access to those studies, so maybe you could email him and ask

Syntrax Ecdy is CV (Cyanotis Vaga) I believe. Thermolife's E-BOL contains Ecdysterone from RC (Rhaponticum Carthamoides), Rhodiola and Cyasterone. E-BOL also contains 5 times as much Ecdysterone, per serving, than does ECDYSTEN (the original Thermolife product).

From what I have read, CV does not have the same anabolic properties as RC (aka Luzea). Cyasterone also holds promise....

Laboratory studies have shown the anabolic affects of RCE, including the capacity to increase body weight by improving the muscle-fat ratio, to increase hemoglobin and erythrocyte levels, to raise the total level of protein content in the blood, and to reduce the build-up of uric acid. The proven net result of this nutrient is that the body's muscle building processes outpace the muscle breakdown processes, leading to greater fitness, endurance and performance (Saratikov 1949; Cherdyntsev 1970; Salnik 1970; Demin et al 1976; Syrov and Kurmukov 1976; Gerasyuta and Koval 1981a; Lupandin 1991; Seifulla et al 1993; Gadzhieva et al 1995; Logvinov and Pugachenko 2001). During intense muscular activity RCE maintains a stable level of glycogen and phosphates in the skeletal muscles, increasing the blood supply to the muscles and brain.

Leading sport pharmacologist S.N. Portugalov with a group of his associates have demonstrated that RCE possesses a significant anabolic activity and when used by top level athletes (middle and long distance runners) it can prevent them from losing lean muscle tissue during the time of intensive training enhancing their sport performance (Pourtugalov et al 1994; Gadzhieva et al 1995).

In one study a natural protein substance known to favorably influence the muscle-fat ratio as well as work capacity among athletes was used in combination with RCE and compared to placebo (Lupandin 1991). In the combined study it was found that taking RCE combined with additional supplemental protein was optimal to achieve the highest increase in work capacity in athletes. Of the athletes who consumed just protein, only a slight increase in muscle mass was observed. Those who used a placebo lost a slight amount of lean muscle, while those who used protein plus ecdysterone showed a 6-7% increase in lean muscle tissue with nearly a 10% reduction in fat. No difference in hormonal parameters in those taking RCE was observed during the study period.

Additionally, a comparison experiment was conducted with commonly known anabolic steroids. The effects of RCE were comparable to that of the steroid compounds, yet RCE had none of the negative affects on the function of the adrenal cortex. The androgenic effects of anabolic steroids and their accompanying side effects were not revealed in the RCE (Lupandin 1991).
