Are dry roasted peanuts a good snack food?

I'm doing my best to cut out junk food but no matter how many chocolate protein shakes I have I still get the urge for some kind of snack food. Are a couple of handfuls of dry roasted peanuts ok to eat as a snack if my goal is to gain muscle? The brand I eat is KP.

Yeah but it might be hard if your heavy on counting cals, because unless it's labeled you won't know how many. So eat a tbsp or so of natty pb out the jar, or, a handfull of peanuts, or walnuts, or almonds, will do. Definitally, great, healthy, essential fatty acids.

    Thanks.

For some reason dry roasted peanuts are the only kind of peanut I like, really not too fond of the other types.

good snack? try great snack. Peanuts are really good for you. They are high in fat but it is the good fat that helps lower the bad cholestorol.

a lot of roasted peanuts are coated in sometype of sugar. Whatever ones you get make sure the only ingredient are peanuts and maybe salt. although you'd be better off without the salt.

Salted might not be the best, because of the salt. I would go for unsalted. For the thread starter, peanuts are great for snacking, aside from the calories. But if you are bulking, they are great. The fat is mostly good fat, which you need a little bit of, and they are great for protien.
I used to be 135 pounds, give me a break.

when i need a snack type food, i get 1 spoon of natty Pb, 2 tsp of sugar free jam, stir em together on a plate then eat that if i am quite peckish i will use an apple or celery as a spoon for it - feels like a cheat, tastes like a cheat, but isnt a cheat - two thumbs up
