Here's a video of me curling first 130, then 140 and both with minimal backswing at all. I weight around 135-140 in this video at 5'4". The bar weights around 20 pounds, could be 15 though, but check the pics out for yourself and you tell me. My scale is off at home, so I am not sure about the bar, but I weigh myself at the gym and I am roughly 133, but I have gotten up to 135, and maybe 137-138 after eating alot in this vid. And I don't workout using this much weight except maybe for a last set or burnout, this vid is just for posterity and not my actual workout.

WTF!? *grabs head*
why??? please tell me why on this planet would you do a max curl??? risk tearing a bicep or other stupid injury for the sake of telling people you single curled 140lbs with horrid form??? surely you have more sense that that. you're small, work on improving the first three lifts in your sig, they should be the first things on your mind and your total lifting priority, get them flourishing and you will get bigger and stronger everywhere else.My journal http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=5662511

Heh, i know it is fun to do a max curl, but for real don't do ti too often, great way to tear a bicep.
However, props, very few people can curl their body weight. And i must say i don't think your form was that bad at all. At that high of weight you have to readjust your body becuase the weight wants to pull you forward. Not very many people do curls with that weight so they probably do not understand that.
I say props, but don't continually do this or you will hurt your self.

Thankyou for the compliment. I wasn't even close to tearing my bicep as I have done this 3 times before for my last sets of barbell curls, but I just didn't have a chance to capture it on film, and someone asked about it so I put it up.

Okay, first of all it wasn't bad form. EVERYTIME somebody posts a curl video everybody says oh that was ****ty form. That was good form. For all those people that stand up strict and don't sway AT ALL, that is actually more dangerous than slightly swaying. And if you're using a heavy weight, then you will sway no matter what on a curl, because of the type of movement it is.
having said that, heavy bicep curls is kind of dumb, sorry, but it is.

I can try and get another video, but it would probably have to be either wednesday or Saturday because I don't want to do that again and then not be able to do my workout to my full potential. I told my friend holding the camera to shoot it all the way, but I took a few minutes psyching up, so he just shot. It was locked out though I asure you.
