I always recommend before cardio by about an hour.

Eat breakfast, or have some whey, or BCAA's before cardio.

you know what, the truth is it doesn't really matter. eating before or after gives you advantages either way. if you eat before you run, you won't get light-headed and you'll have more energy, but if you run before you eat, your metabolism is faster, what you eat will be digested faster, and you will loose fat. i am doing it BEFORE i eat.

OMG, I can't believe the fasted cardio debate is still clinging to life....

You're training for a sport, and you're trying to build muscle. Have a preworkout meal about an hour before you workout....why would you NOT allow yourself proper nutrition because you are working out in the morning?!?! I'd recommend having a scoop of whey and 1/2 a cup of oats. You're doing sprints, right?! I also sprint with the goal of consistently increasing my speed, and I know my sprints would suck without proper nutrition.

You should ALSO eat a normal postworkout shake, consistenting of whey and dextrose.

He should eat his breakfast, or in this case, his post, postworkout meal, 1 hour after his postworkout shake.

You should eat something before you workout. I did this ebfore and I almost passed out and felt nautios because I had nothing in my body. So I just had some fruit on my way to the gym(or a little beforeA) and then a shake and more friut after. I honestly have to eat in the morning or I get sick, but thats just me.
