If what you claim is true, I applaud you for it, I wish I could do it silently but it's beyond me to believe that someone can go to failure without even a small grunt. And I don't mean failure as in you have a hard last rep. I'm talking about having no more than the power to do the starting point of the movement, so maybe like 1/5th of the ROM.

Well, i would bertstare you if you drop 110 pound dumbells, or 140kg(305 pound) barbell rows. If they 135s on the dumbells or 350s(160kg) on the barbell, i would nod my head in approval. Lighter than those weights at your size..you doing it wrong
ps: Do Americans do the metric conversion in your head? its pretty simple, and using kg is easier.

I think if you are training intensely and going to the limit its all good regardless of weight (to a certain extent). Also its just some peoples stlyle.
On your point about weights i row 140kg strict, Dorian style, sometimes a bit heavier. I dont think its fair to say at my size i should be doing more. Ive seen vids of pros rowing 140kg with worse form than me lol and i dont drop dumbbells, always catch them on my knees.

lol this one kid I used to always see, most normal looking dude, would wear full sweats and a beanie, and swing weight like branch warren grunting like a mad man. I would always know to avoid him because he smelled like ****. Must have been all the clothing but the smell would give me headaches.
On another note, there's this big dude at the gym who always calls attention to himself. Probably the most impressive physique at the gym, but he walks around whistling extremely loud, everybody stares lol.
And I dont mind people making noise, throwing weights or whatever. As long as you're moving weight that warrants that, and aren't throwing the dumbells towards me, which happens quite often.
