What are good foods to eat for building muscle

I'm doing construction for the summer so it'll be hard to be too particular about what I eat each day. I am looking for a list of what foods are good to eat for building muscle, mainly for breakfast, lunch, dinner and quick snacks throughout the day.

Thanks

Lean meats like steak, chicken, fish. Other good protein sources include egg whites and whey protein. Starchy carbs like oats and sweet potatoes are a must, as well as plenty of green leafy vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, and spinach. All those foods should be at the heart of any muscle building diet.

I'd look into makeing some protein bars that you can bring to work. I know it's hard as hell to bring meat like chicken and whatnot when it's so hot out. You need a big cooler and a good source of ice or freezer packs.

Oats work pretty good if you make them before and use just water. They don't go bad that way but they are pretty bland.
