John Cena at my gym
I just got back from my gym and John Cena was up there working out since he's in town for an event tonight. IMO he is one of best built wrestlers out there...and seeing him in person just proved that. The dude is jacked! Not really HUGE or anything, but just put together perfectly.

You mean in town for Raw... and that's pretty badass if you did see him in your gym. That definitely would be the coolest thing ever if I saw him in a gym or something. The only wrestler I've ever met in real life is Big Show.

Yep, I actually did see him, in fact he was working out pretty much the whole time I was there. I missed a lot of the others...apparently they were all in earlier this morning. I wanted to get his autograph at least, but just didnt really wanna bother him. Plus, I'm so in my own zone when I'm in the gym.
Was real cool seeing him in person anyway, since he is one of my favorites.

Is he really THAT big (i.e. 7'+ / 500lbs+)???

Most of the time WWE exaggerate weights and heights, but Big show now that I have heard is maybe 475lbs now I think, I'm not sure though.

He may not be as tall/heavy as they say on tv, but he definitely is a big man. I've never felt so short next to anyone

Cool. Not really into autographs myself but I would have definitely chatted him up at an opportune time. Was he solo or with other people? Did anyone at all from your gym talk to him? Oh sorry...you were probably in a zone and didn't notice.

haha.....yeah, nice try. **** man, Monday's are my quick workout that I get in during my lunch hour....where I literally have 30 minutes to get in and get out. Sorry man, but the last thing on my mind was stopping to chat with anyone. And, yes, John was with another dude...nobody I recognized. I said "whats up" but, that was it...no biggie. I'm a little past the star struck phase...even though it's still always cool seeing someone like that.

There suppose to be in my City today. I just got home and I actually saw the WWE truck pulled over on the side with its emergency lights on. My girlfriend said we should pull over and see if they needed any help but we kept going. I get to see Shelton at my public library before the event takes place, but I probably won't go now since they advertise the hell out of it on TV during Raw. Everyone that won't go to the event will probably be at the library. Im going to try to hit the gym in the morning to see if I can catch any of them.

Actually, I caught pretty much all he was doing. He wasn't going real heavy or anything...considering the event that night. When I first noticed he was over at one of the Hammer Strength chest press machines, then they were doing a superset of regular flat barbell with pec deck. He was repping 225, but kind of real slow paced, nothing real hardcore or anything, which I'm sure he's quite capable of putting up a hell of a lot more weight than that. Then the last thing he did were sets of cable crossovers for chest. They took off shortly before I did.
I gotta say that his arms are friggin impressive...like almost too big for his body, but not only big, but real defined as well.
Hey, even though I was in my 'zone'.....I still noticed everything he was doing...hahaha

That's cool. My son loves Cena.
When I was younger, growing up in Pittsburgh, there were a lot of wrestlers that would work out at the YMCA downtown on Wood St. I'm dating myself, but I used to see Waldo von Erich in there all the time lifting very serious weight.
Of course, one of the attractions in Pittsburgh at Manion's was to go and see Tony Atlas work out there. He was incredible.

I'd say in my best estimation that Cena is right around 5'10". I'm 5'8" and he wasnt that much taller than me.

In all honesty bro....6' is pushin it, but then again could be...but, just didnt appear that tall to me. I guess when you see them up close as opposed to being on TV, its always a little shocking cause you expect to see a monster.

Just came back from event I will tell you this Cena is 6ft tall. The Big Show doesn't even look 7ft tall more like 6ft 8in. The spirt squad members are short except kenny. Nickey is a ***....He left out the front door like he wanted people to ask for his autograph, but had a security woman escort him to his car like a little bitch. Know one didn't even want his autograph in the first place. The other wrestlers left out the back door. The Highlanders wrestled tonight and they were OK nothing exciting. I also saw Harry Smith...he can wrestle and he uses his dad's finisher. This is what the matches looked like
Conway vs Harry Smith
Big Show & Goldust & Snitsky vs. Spirit Squad
Torrie & Maria vs. Mickie James & Victoria bra and panties match (Torrie looks nasty)
Viscera vs. Umaga
Kane beat up the teacher guy (damn forgot his name)
Shelton Benjamin vs. Carlito (Shelton got a big pop from the crowd)
Charlie Haas vs. Johnny Nitro (Hass got booed during his entrance because of thing that happened last night)
Kenny vs Triple H
John Cena vs Edge

you mean a tv or any event? if they didn't work out before tvs or house shows they'd only end up working out 2-3 times a week. they have events up to 4 days a week.

He was ****ing huge, let's just say that. He looked every bit of 7' and 500 lbs. I shook his hand and his whole damn hand like ****ing swallowed mine. I was like, holy ****. It was a couple of weeks ago when I met him, actually... I was coming back from Cayman Islands and he was actually on the same flight as I was, as was Ric Flair's daughter (who was sitting across from me, just one row ahead). She's got a pretty hot body on her, but her voice is kinda raspy... makes me think she probably smokes quite a bit. But yeah, they were coming home from Ric Flair's wedding (he had it down there). I sat by a woman on the plane who was at the wedding and got to look at pictures from it... Shane Helms, Batista, and Triple H were there at the wedding.

I saw Big Show while I was in Iraq a few years back, we were in the Green Zone so it was secure but he had body guards. Who in thier right mind would f@#$ with that dude? I don't know how big exactly he was but he was easily the biggest SOB I've ever seen by far.

Great stories guys!
XPmpnII that is awesome! I bet Ric Flair's daughter is smokin' hot. I remember when I saw her a few years back she was pretty good looking.

They have events 150 days a year almost. Most guys from what I gather just focus on maintenance when on the road, which is understandable.
Still, if Cena didn't lift every day b/c of a show that night, he'd probably be out 3-4 days a week. I doubt he could keep his physique top notch with that much time off.

The gym i belong to always has wrestlers there when they are in town. Scott Steiner is probably the biggest guy i have seen. pretty impressive being that he is all natural.
