    Type 2 diabetic strongman diet

So I've bee not ing Starting Strength since October. I'm switching over to a more strongman type routine and it's obvious I can't eat like those guys so what would you suggest? I'm 80" tall and weigh 270lbs. I take pills to control my t2 and try to watch what I eat (most of the time). Looking for tips or ideas that don't require loads of money or special foods I can't find. Help me out guys! Tia

Have you read the stickies? What do you estimate your bodyfat percentage at and do you have a goal weight? Losing excess fat could most likely help your health overall.

    Well definitely read the stickies.

Your BMI can be calculated from your height and weight. I'm more curious if you have excess bodyfat and hope to lose that (as that would help your health), or are you hoping to gain weight as many people who want to do strongman start out wanting to put on a lot of weight. What is your goal?

Well most of my fat is in my belly area. I want to gain size, yes but not fat. It's obvious I can't eat 20K (exggerating of course) like pro strongmen. I'm just wanting to eat to gain muscle. I usually drink a protein powder shake after each workout. Just trying to get an idea of how/when I should eat.

Read the stickies; you are not in a position to gain more weight really, not healthily anyways.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.
