What do you guys usually mix with your protein powder? I am about to start taking ON's Whey 100% Chocolate and dont know what to mix it with. I read that 1 scoop after workouts is enough, is this true?
Thanks

go with 2 after workouts, your body needs it. when you take it before bed make sure to use milk, its slow digesting.

So, i should take it twice? 1 after workout and 1 before bed? Is mixing it with milk the best tasting solution?
Thanks

I heard somewhere that it's real good with some diet coke post workout...i've yet to try this but then again I'm willing to try anything it seems.
Do water post workout for fastest digestion/distribution, and with some milk before bed so its more slowly digested.

Protein powder almost always tastes better with milk.
Amount of powder depends on how much protein you're getting from other sources. If you don't get a lot of protein from whole foods, then eat more powder.Everything I say or post is all In My Own Opinion. Well take On whey protein with a milk in breakfast... and after workout i suggest to hav it mix with water along with 2 tbsp of dextrose.. it is readily digested by our body if we take it with water and that is wht we require immediately after workout..

if you dont eat meat or fish then you need powder. you have to get it somewhere or you are wasting your time with lifting.

I am currently taking ON Choc and so far have only had it with water. Answer to your question, no it is not bad at all. But at listed above, I may start taking it with milk before bed.

Every protein tastes like crap in water in my opinion. I always have frozen fruit or something like that in with it. Post workout I have dextrose in with it which makes it sweeter.

-protein + milk during breakfast
-creatine + protein + water 45 min. before lifting
-creatine + grape juice after lifting
-protein + water after that
-protein + milk before going to sleep
does that sound great? or is there too many unnecessary steps there?

After my workout, i have around
45 grams of whey protein( 3 grams of protein)
300 ml of milk
1 liter of water
100 ml of sirup( that stuff is so sweet, my teeth WILL fall out sooner or later
even though milk is slow digesting, after your workout your body is in dire need of anything it will get. Only taking protein with water is also good but i have read somewhere that if you take it with milk, it's better because of the whey/casein mix. The sirup will do the carbs for me and thw water is fo digesting it like hell.
before bed i usually drink milk ( 1 liter) with whey for very slow digesting...........
