    It depends on your routine. What exercises you do for the chest, and what other exercises you do during Monday and Thursday, and everything in between.

    Also it depends on how fast you can recuperate. Usually 2 days a week in exercising a major body part will not lead to overtraining, except of course if you have too much chest exercises during your work out day

    dun kasi sa bagong gym ko umaabot me ng 2 to 3 hours sa gym... may mga nakalagay ksi sa article d2 na pag umabot ka ng more than 1 1/2 hour... leading na daw un sa pag oovertrain...

    pag may muscle sore pa ung part na na workout ko nung monday... wag ko muna sya iwork out sa thursday?.. or iworkout pa din?

    Ang Gulo naman... hehe

    IF I press a muscle and it is still sore, I dont work it out. Thats how I check on it since hindi pa rested.

    Working out 2 to 3 hours is too much.

    oh okay! dapat maximum na is 2 hours? hardcore ung nilipatan ko na gym... d sya ganun kaganda pero ok naman ung atmosphere dun... ok naman ung mga tao mababait.. and tingin ko d masyadong tama ung mga program nila kasi parang overtraining prog nila... kasi ung dati kong ung trainer ko lang kausap ko tapos minsan pa pag tinatamad ung trainer ko para naapektuhan din me... pero tingin ko mas tama ung program nya.. pero ung nga nakakatamad... hehe

    WALA LANG SHARE KO LANG PO!!! ^_^

    Am also wondering how many pinoys here. Am Batangueno temporarily renting in Manila where I work. I wonder if there are many over-35 gym rats here. I am 39, 5 10, 220 lbs and my body will probably be like a WWF wrestler's if I don't find out what's wrong with my routine and diet. I know age plays a major role, but I am steadily putting on weight despite aerobics. sounds like you are an authority......

    tnx energizer100. used to lift weights in my 20's. then off and on. Balik gym this year, more determined, pero medyo sidelined ako kc I pulled my forearm muscles yata. It aches near the elbow joint where we can feel the bone. Somebody told me to have it "hilot" but I don't think it's a good idea.............

    yeah, I've been busy lately and really don't have much time surfing the net.


    I got my calf torn when I started lifting. I ended up seeing a doctor, and a physical therapist. It took me a couple of months before it was completely healed.
