How many calories should I eat a day to lose weight?

I have been lifting weights seriuosly for about 10 years. I weigh about 240lbs and would like to get down to about 210lbs rock solid. I am 5' 10" by the way.

I am pretty muscular, but need to lose weight around the midsection in particular.

Looks like I am getting about 3,000 calories a day.

I have always tried to eat about 6 times a day, but keep it simple. Any recomendation on what I can do to get to my goal?

Oh and how much Protein should I be getting a day? I want to keep my mass/muscle size and just cut down.

Do a google search for a calculator to figure out how many calories you need for your maitenence level, then -500 calories......

Drink at least a gallon of water a day, lift heavy at the gym, and get 1g protein/lb that you weigh
