cant target body fat my friend. Just work the muscle around them to make them more firm. Continue cardio to lose the fat, which will come off from all over. Be sure not to work the muscle too much...You dont want it to be huge

    Hope thjis helps.

    estrogenic fat pattern.

topical yohimbine (personally reccomend yohimburn es, but there are others)

you also may want to look into mild estrogen suppression (low dose aromatase inhibitor)

Losing fat in general will make you lose your 'hips fat'.

    tell that to women.

seriously estrogenic fat (alpha2 adrenoceptor laden fat) is "stubborn" fat. it is very resistant to lipolysis.

yes losing overall body fat will help, but those areas are going to be hard to reduce, because they lack the adrenergic stimulus to allow for fatty acid release (negative feedback from the A2 receptor)

So what is there to do? I've seen a lot of threads with similar problems - the butt and love handle area are somewhat fat, and everything else is fine.

I'm thinking about taking a fat supplement. There was one posted on this site that targeted those two specific areas.

Thats because thats the last part of the fat that comes off. It differs on different people where you lose weight last. Just keep dieting and it will come off if your diet is in check.

I had very stubborn deposits on chest and love handles. I got down to ~10% BF and used Lipoderm-Y to target the stubborn areas, worked like a charm. Works best if you get down to a low BF first. Regards, Odin

like I said topical yohimbine ( I prefer yohimburn ES, but other people- especially since avant used to be "the" company and par deus "the" guru- on this board- reccomend lipoderm-y)

so with a topical supplement, such as Lipoderm-Y, did you just put it on your butt and then lie naked for a while?

I'd be more interested in seeing a pic than jumpy to the conclusion that this is estrogenic fat pattern.

In fact, the 'spare tire' fat collection is typical of male. It's a continuation of stomach fat accumulation, and is generally one of the last areas to go when losing fat.

My inclination would be that you're at about, 13-15% bf and need to drop a bit more to have it go away.

pics are helpful but he specifically indicated butt and hips. the prevalence of xenoestrogens and obesity (higher aromatase production) has made female fat patterns more common among both sexes

Fair enough, but I wouldn't recommend he buy some yohimbe without seeing pics. Drop first, then afterwards, if the problem persists, then explore those options.

The Lipoderm-Y should have been something I should have tried when I was at 136 lbs and around 10% BF. I still had the lower back fat that was apparently stubborn as you suggested. That's the main reason I was still wanting to cut more weight to lose fat. The Lipoderm-Y would have at least been the better solution in this situation to get rid of that stubborn areas as I had pretty much no fat everywhere else.

I had a problem with Depakote weight gain back in adolescence, and I think it left me with this problem long-term.

I'm currently at 153 lbs, but I don't know my exact fat% now as I haven't worried about it during much of my bulk. I'd say probably 13% range or something. Not sure. Would the stuff still work at a bodyfat level like that?

My bulk hasn't been clean, though, for the last 9 lbs due to being busy at work.

Yes, I think they recommend using it when you are under 15% for best results. If you have alot of A2 receptors in that area it will work. You won't see results as fast as you would at a lower BF, but it WILL come off those A2 dense areas faster. Regards, Odin

So, would it be best to cut back to like 10-11% BF, or is it ok to go ahead and start using it now?

Also, do you know what the price range of the Lipoderm-Y is?

Topical yohimbine (with a preference for yohimburn ES) will work on women at pretty much any bodyfat. Women pretty much, with a few exceptions, are laden with A2 receptors. its an evolutionary adaptation to prevent utilization of fat and increase its storage (feast and famine) - survival of mother and child insured by this

you would probably get more systemic uptake. Since the presence of those receptors helps localize the drugs

    fat ass

I actually also have fat on my ass, I've managed to get lean on my upper body with cardio and good weight training and all and probably am below the 15% fat range, I'm guessing that even 4-5% fat is on my freakin ass!!! I hate it and I'm a guy! By the way I'm 190lbs 6' tall, I don't have pics but basically I measured my hips (my butt) and it is like 40" While my waist is around 33 - 34"

Please let me know if I can use yohimburn or lipoderm-Y, the latter hopefully as it is cheaper here in Canada.
    Thanks!

Do DHEA supplements help with excess A2 (aromatase) receptors, along with estrogenic imbalances in men, as well

no. but you can use an aromatase inhibitor.

another thing DHT suppression makes estrogen issues worse, something to think about since people use propecia and even saw palmetto.

    Thanks!
So do you think someone like me can benefit from lipoderm-Y?
    Thanks

all the women I have reccomended it to, have responded very well. Though since estrogen dominance, and thus A2 proliferation, is a lot more common in women its not surpising.
