I remember my dad telling me that it is possible to workout abs everyday without overtraining. Is this true? I think I will stick to doing abs on M W F, I should be too sore to do them everyday.

Twice a week should be more than enough - assuming you're workign them correctly and not merely shooting for number of reps, you'll be fine. I work my abs as an afterthought at the end of a workout, whenever I feel like hitting them. I've got a good core already from 4 years of gymnastics in high school, but I don't really think it takes a lot to get good abs - it just takes a lot to be able to SEE those abs [i.e. diet/cardio].You're = you are.
