They say they contain complex carbs, would it be advised to eat a tin after a workout?

I think that is better used pre W/O becuase then you can clear people off the equipment you want to use at the gym. Not only will it help you bump up your glycogen stores for the workout but it will help you get through your workout faster!

WTF? Baked Beans are amazing!! A students best friend A former staple lunch of mine, Thursday afternoon in the hour between Spatial Thinking and C20 History of Architecture seminars.

But no, they're not great pwo. Last time I checked they also had a significant amount of sugar.

There are cheaper, and more effective alternatives.

baked beans rock. This issue of Mens Fitness has a rating of some common baked beans. They picked the Bushs Homestyle as the best if I remember correctly. Beans totally rock IMHO

Baked beans, all beans, are a complex carb, thus, the fiber. But, of course, people tend to stay away from them, for obvious reasons. And the fact that they can be loaded with sugar, honey, maple syrup, etc. doesn't help. There is a way to make them not only more bbing-friendly but also more people-friendly.......open the can, dump them into a collander, and rinse all the bean "juice" off. By doing this, you eliminate all the sugar and whatnot and you also wash away the majority of the gas-producing liquid. You are left with a fantastic complex carb. Add them to some brown rice and not only do you have a big bowl of complex carbs but you also have a COMPLETE protein. Enjoy throughout the day as an alternative to oats or sweet potatoes. I, personally, prefer simple carbs pwo, however.
