How Do You Use A Shaker Bottle??
I just bought GNC's shaker bottle because I was tired of getting little undissolved clumps in my shakes. I was advised to get a shaker bottle better. So I got one and when I got home I opened it and it looks kinda complicated to me. When I opened the lid, theres this other small lid with small entry holes and a handle in the middle, inside of the main lid. Help!!

Ok follow steps
1: unscrew lid
2. remove mesh screen
3. put protein powder and amount of water /milk /liquid you want
4. put mesh screen back in the shaker cup with the little pointy piece towards you
5. screw lid back one tightly ensuring that the opening of the shaker cup(i.e where you drink from) is properly closed
6. shake the cup vertically until desired consitency
7. drink up
8. sorry for typos it is 5 am here
9. enjoy
hope this explains it

probably for ice filtering measures. i used to leave that part out until i realized thats why the **** was leaking. the filter has a little gasket on it to prevent leakage incidents. nothing like trying to lick cookies and cream off your knee while driving home from the gym.

it's pretty much vital in mixing up the powder and liquid and preventing lumps and clumps.

That's what I suspected but ummmmm, I still don't see the science in that. Is there a special way that I got to use this mesh thing so that I won't get any clumps??? Or do I just keep it inside and mix???.......If so, how can that dissolve the clumps??

There's no way you're really that stupid, is there?
The screen is there to break up the lumps. When you shake it, the lumpy liquid smashes against the screen and breaks up into smaller and smaller pieces until eventually it isn't lumpy anymore.

there isnt much science to the mesh...
u put in a little bit of milk/water, u add ur protein, then add the rest of the milk/water, put on the mesh, then put the lid on, then shake the fckuer...
if u have lumps of protein, everytime u shake the bottle, the lumps hit the mesh and get broken up into smaller pieces, making it easier for them to dissolve in the liquid...more smaller pieces = more surface area per piece = greater surface area for liquid to dissolve...

Casting my vote for worlds dumbest thread!!!
When i get a new shaker i immediatly take out the mesh screen and gasket....
In my experineces the screen gives the powder something to hold onto and make more clumps, and they all leak untill i pull out the gasket

There is an alternative!!!
This thread is hellarious...
If you want an effective alternative to the shaker, but do not want to clean a blender try a mixer. BB.com offers them with orders over $75. I got it thinkink that it was going to be a piece of crap, but it works really well. It is basically a propeller on a thin shaft. All you have to do is put is in the drink and turn it on, there are no clumps at all.

you had me going there until you requested scientific evidence of how screens work and special techniques on how to use them. im surprised it even got that far to begin with.

To test this new method of using the shaker bottle.......I heard it is highly reccommended to try it with 3 scoops of NO-Xplode and shake vigorously. If your shaker bottle doesn't break up the NO-Xplode then it's worthless.............
