    Increasing Muscle Losing Weight

    Hi,

I am trying to lose some weight and increase my muscle bulk. I am about 9-10 kilograms overweight and I am looking to lose that and then start to gain some muscle.

So far this is what I am doing every day

    Morning - Before Breakfast
    • 2 laps of local oval
    • 10 Pushups (I am pretty weak )
    • 20-30 Crunches
    Afternoon
    • 10 Pushups
    • 20-30 Crunchs

Now I am not the best person to devise a workout plan, but this is what I have done. I don't have any equipment at all and do not have access to a gym.

I am also taking in about 500 calories in the morning and depends on the night time.

Is this a good routine to continue with? If not what can I do to improve it?

    Regards

Alright so I have been doing that for like a week or so now, but I feel hungry through the day. Should I give in to that urge and eat some fruit or someting healthy? Or just wait for the next meal?

What I am having now is a small bowl of cereal for breakfast. Then a muesli bar, then a sandwich, then another muesli bar, then small serving of dinner.

I am new to the thought of eating 5 meals to lose weight is this enough to help me along? Sorry about the questions, new to this

mate i wouldn't be doing push ups or crunches twice a day your muscles need to repair in order to grow or get stronger. as for your overall workout, i am assuming you have no equipment but thats ok you can make a pretty good workout with nothing. try adding some chins into that mix if you cannot complete a full chin up try jumping up and lowering yourself as slowly as possible.
try some sort of jump squat aswell as well as lunges.

I am not doing that many pushups or crunches so I didn't think that it would really matter. So it would be better to do all of those at once? Like instead of 30 crunches 60 crunches and 20 pushups?

the body doesn't grow while you're working out. Your body grows on your rest days. You should be doing something like
    DAY 1
    Pushups
    Situps
    Some Other Exercises
    DAY2
    Run The Local Oval
    Stretch
    REPEAT
    SUNDAY-REST

That kind of thing. That way your getting everything done, your just spreading it out so that your body can use it. It's like eating throughout the week instead of getting all your calories on monday and starving the rest of the week. See what I mean.
