    if im bulking how much carbs should i have???

    Im 155 tring to get to 180. I know i should have at least 160grams of protein to 200 a day. But i dont know about carbs. Im not going to bother counting fats im just having a shot of flax oil in the morning and olive oil on foods. could somone help me out. thanks in advance

    its better to roughly count than not count at all, as for protein, unless you are below 10% bf right now, you dontn need anything close to 200g a day.

    you definitely need more fats

    id say 175-225g protein for you.. you need lots of fat but not really LOTS of fat.. LOL.. id say 80-90g fat a day would do for you, fats are important but excess fats come to no use.. then the rest just have as many carbs as needed (make sure its fibrous carbs. brown rice, rye bread, whole wheat crispbread, oats etc) until you come to a point where you gain a pound a week.

    I would say double to ur protein intake.....400 grams min

    good carbs though

    Oatmeal
    Brown rice
    Wheat bread
    Wheat Pasta
    Fruits: Apples/Pears

    i always reccomend high protein and i love it.. but 400g for a 155lb guy is absolute BULL****.
    either you are a) working for a supp company trying to spread this kind of misinformation for your own profits or b) you mixed up carbs with protein and meant 400g carbs..

    thanks alot guys. much appreciated. no ****ing way i could eat 400 grams of protein a day. My guts couldnt take it. as for the one pound a week thing if i gain more then this should i be worried its fat gain?

    Reread the frigging statement, he said the carbs he should be eating is "double ur protein intake". For example, if the dude is eating 160g @ 155lbs, his carbs should be (theoretically) around 300g.

    so for example if iwas on a bulk, im 190 lbs now ideal cut weight is 184-180 so when i come to bulk ill should eat about 360 wholegrain carbs.. ie listed.. and as for protien around 300 protien. Its important you space them all out otherwide all nutrients will be wasted..

    190-200g of protein is fine, 300g is not really needed.. although you can have that much if you want.. I'd reduce it to 200-230 and increase the fat instead (almonds, walnuts, cashews, peanuts, almond butter, peanut butter, olive oil, etc)
