dumb ass.... you know how fast that thing would have been traveling. **** moving extremely fast may be blurry.
I lifted. I lifted until my muscles burned and my veins pumped battery acid. Then I lifted some more

Maybe a math expert can do the math
A 300ft long object traveling across a 500ft FOV at 350mph.
Footage at 24fps. How many frames should we have captured of the object? In WY for the summer. PM me if you are from around Wheatland!

Working the math back from 350mph equates to approx 250 feet of aircraft travel between every frame. So if the FOV at the plane's distance is actually 500 feet, only 2 or 3 frames would capture segments of the aircraft - and they'd obviously be extremely blurry given the relatively low quality camera/recording system.
And a quick note to the thread starter: These rants belong in the Religion & Politics forum, where the topic has already been beat to death multiple times.Last edited by nutsy54; 05-18-2006 at 07:36 PM.

True, but in the 3rd frame of the explosion, there is debris flying in the air, maybe 50-100ft above the roof of the structure.
I'd think that 1.5 seconds after impact, you shouldn't have anything flying off of the building. Does that seem unreasonable?
The timestamps on the images seem off, too.

There are some frames missing.
Oddly enough, some guy had the frames we're discussing way back in 2002.

Some people theorize that it was a Tomahawk Land Assault Missile......well, TLAMs cruise at 880km/hr, or 547mph. Whatever hit the Pentagon was going slower than that. Much slower.

just some food for thought:
the plane does not have to travel 350 mph to hit the wall. and also, planes typically land at 150 mph. if you were a terrorist about to crash into a building, wouldnt you rather go slower and hit the target, rather than maintain a high speed and miss the target?

How many of you actually realise that flight 77 was lined up with a highly populated ring of the pentagon (where Donald Rumsfield resided), but flew over the Pentagon, turned around, and flew into the only relatively unnocupied section of the building.
Just some food for thought.

If anyone has a spare hour I encourage them to listen to this aeronautical engineers review of what went on at the Pentagon and with flight 77.
Worth a listen.
