For cutting you'll essentially want the "cleanest" protein possible, I'll assume, since it better enables you to manage macronutrient intake. That said, I'd recommend ErgoPharm's "GF-Pro", "I-Pro", Primaforce's "Substance WPI" for nutritionally sound and delicous whey proteins. As for micellar casein, nothing can match Xtreme Formulation's "Ultra Peptide" as far as I'm concerned (it's nothing short of mega-tasty).
Just remember that there's no one protein that can be singled out as being the most optimal for cutting. You could probably cut well with Muscle Milk so long as your diet is structured appropriately. I just chose the more protein dense options since I'd rather be taking in more whole food on a cut for satiety reasons.Last edited by Serpens Aeon; 05-18-2006 at 06:28 AM.

Obviously Muscle Milk is not optimal for cutting due to the high calories. However, I have used Muscle Milk while cutting and have still seen good results. It depends on how fast and how cut you want to be. If your looking for a slower cut over a period of a couple of months then a serving of MM daily shouldnt hurt you. If your looking to cut up as quickly as possible then I would opt for Matrix over Muscle Milk(Im talking as a nighttime shake). Or do what I do and mix a scoop of each. Also, remember bodytype and metabolism are key when cutting. Do you typically drop bodyfat rapidly or does it take forever to drop bf?
Basically, there are a lot of other factors besides the calorie content in Muscle Milk that will determine whether it would be good for you(or not) when cutting.
