I am starting the intermediate 5x5 tomorrow, Thursday May 18. I know it is a weird day to start, but ball season is in full swing. So I will post here vital statistics such as weight used, my weight throughout the program and other things that I deem necessary. I am doing the intermediate because I am a big guy but according to my lifts and comparison with other guys... I am weak. Please post comments, concerns, well wishes as they will be much appreciated.

Day 1 in the books. The light weight that I started with in the intermediate 5x5 I thought was a little light. Boy was I wrong. Just wait until the weeks start to climb in number.

Second day is in the books. I feel great. Like I said, the only thing that will be limiting is my diet. I think everyone should be on this workout. Does anyone know if the weights that are in the incline bench are the ones that you use for the standing military press? They seemed okay but don't know for sure. Thanks, MISSING LINK

I finished the first week of the intermediate 5x5. This is the best workout to start with if you didn't have a concrete workout to use. I have to say that I love the squatting 3 days a week and the Friday workout is the best. Will post more results as they come.

are you using microplates to get the exact weights? good stuff man, keep working hard.
it gets pretty good after about 3 weeks once you start hitting PRs multiple workouts in a row!

Yea, I use the micro-plates to get as close as possible to the exact weight. When I originally plugged my numbers in to the spread sheet, I was like WTF, are you kidding me? But then I was brought back to reality when I started this program. It is awesome. If you don't get exactly the weight that the sheet prescribes (maybe off by a pound or 2 heavier/lighter) does that really matter?
I am not f-ing with this program and doing exactly as it is prescribedDeath is winning. Do something.- Sam Boyd

Are you not supposed to be sore on this routine because I am not!!!!!!!!!! I tried other routines and did everything under the sun and was definitely sore. I know that I have only done this one week, but I will stick with this for a long time!!!!!!!!

not at first. the first few weeks are "easier" weeks. once you hit PR week, that is when it starts to kick your ass.

I did the first of the week 2 weights. It is starting to get a tad bit harder. I love the program. It is fairly quick (45mins) and works the core like they said it would. I did upright rows for the weighted hypers as I don't have a way to do the hypers. I will post more results as they come in.

This workout is great. I am not feeling sore at all. I am experiencing a little tightness in the lower back but nothing significant at all. How much do you eat? I am eating like crazy, fairly clean, and no fast food. I know that I need to run the program longer and eat and eat and eat. I just do not want it all to go to my belly. Day 2 of week 2 tomorrow.

Day 3 week 2 is complete. This is the best workout that I have ever been on. I am already increasing in size because of my eating and the lifting style. As far as strength, I will have to wait until week 4 where the new personal records start.
