Man, what happened to him. His body shrunk because his life lead him of being a movie star, not saying that's a bad thing. Could you loose, what you worked so hard to achieve? Even if you had millions of dollers? You think that money would help you to look better and get bigger, but that's not the case here. It looks that he got so busy, that he forgot to go to the gym. Could you forget the gym to make more money? I mean that sucks that your so busy, that you cant even sqeeze an hour for the gym everyday. Also have you seen any movies of his lately? Maybe his body went with his career. I point is, never loose what you worked so hard to gain. That is everything body, mind, life, and family...everything. Stay Strong!

He still looks pretty damn good, pictures dont always do justice to a person, i would bet my bottom dollar the Rock is still ATLEAST 220 lbs, hardly "small"....It seems he's more into a ripped leaner physique these days, personally i probably thought he looked better "back in the day"...But he still is in great shape

I hear you bro, but it seems that. That hollywood would rather have a leaner guy then a muscular guy. If that's that's the case, it's kinda given up bodybuilding for more money.

The thing you must remember bro, The Rock was NEVER a bodybuilder, at the height of his wrestling career he was probably somewhere around 260-280, who says it was his choice to be that weight? for alls we know he coulda been desperate to shed some weight all that time but couldnt due to the fact that he was a pro wrestler and had to stay huge
I understand what your saying but i definetly disagree, i dont think his physique now is neccessarily WORSE than before, he's just going for a different look...
If it was me i'd pick his 99 look over present day, but both are impressive, I'd bet now he's like 220 lb, arms are probably about 18 inches with about 8%bodyfat it looks...that's impressive

Let me ask you would you loose it. That's if your lifestyle changed?

Yeah he has lost a lot of weight/muscle in the past 5 years or so. They would announce him at 275 pounds when he used to wrestle. I know wwe usually exaggerates the weight/height of a lot of wrestlers but still it's obvious Rock has lost about 40 pounds or so. Though for all we know he might not be as healthy as he once was especially since it looks like he isn't working out much if any now. Leading the hollywood lifestyle usually proves disastrous for many an action movie hero/s. Just take a look at Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal. Heavy drug and/or alcohol use plus their abusive nature to women (not to say that will happen to Rock).

Hard question to answer, I'd probably rather always be about 260 at 15% rather than like 230 at 7% but tht's just me..

Yeah he definitely lost a lot, he was never ripped and still isnt. I think he should be bigger I mean this is a guy who I really liked as a kid because he had such charisma personality etc, and I always thought he was so "jakked" and now I dont even think hes bigger than me.

Actually a lot of people would probably agree with you on that. Unless you compete professionally you will still look good asthetically at 260 lbs at 15%bf. I know I would take the extra 30 lbs over the lower bf plus being that big you will look much better at 15%bf than if you were say 220. Plus I would think being at 7% bf wouldn't be that healthy over a prolonged period of time(though I doubt the average joe lifter would want to or be able to maintain it). The number I personally would go for would be 10%bf irregardless of weight. You would still see cuts and it would be a little easier mentally and physically to maintain.

He looks more dry. He is pobably either not juicing anymore or stopped taking supplements that make him retain water. Just my 2 cents

I think by now everyone has noticed his physique changed but I don't think hollywood alone has changed either. If you notice more so now than ever, the "Abercrombie" look is in rather than the meatier look. A lot of guys have lost their physique, The Rock and also Vin Diesel. On tv, I've seen it happen more and more. Shows on MTV, VH1 and other networks have steered over to the smaller physique guys. Why? Who knows!?! Is it BalCo.? A lot has changed b/c when I was in my teens, bigger guys were in; now that I'm 25 and a bigger guy, smaller guys are in. I can't explain it but thats how its changed and I know most of you have noticed that!

He was always an athletic person, but the fact of the matter is that he was working incredibly hard for the huge body he had in his wrestling days. Nowadays, he loves to keep in shape, but there's just no need to be the size he was when he was wrestling. He worked to be big when he had to be, and now he's happy being slightly leaner and probably healthier. Props to him.

the thing is, the rock has always had a slightly larger physique, it was in his genetics. he had heaps of lean muscle mass, but it was always covered under a layer of fat, not alot, but enough to prevent him from being ripped. if you look at his father, rocky johnson in his prime, dude was pretty damn jakked for a pro-wrestler, pretty awesome rear delts on him, but he still had that touch of gyno on his pecs. if you look at rock in his early years when he was fighting for the ic title, he was big, pretty lean, but still had the slight gyno, which he eventually had cosmetically removed as he didnt feel all that comfortable being out in the ring with it, classic sense of you are your own harshest critic.
anyways, out on the road, the wrestlers lived together, ate together, performed together, and travelled together. so when there was nothing better to do, they would all hit the gym together, usually just to maintain. now that rock is off the road, is living at home, has a family, and is still in my honest opinion, one of the only true action stars in the vein of schwarzenegger, stallone, and to a lesser extent, van damme and steven segal, around today, he doesnt have the pressure to stay huge and big and muscular. im sure he still maintains, and if the role called for it, he would build again, but unless he has to, if hes happy with where he's at now, then so be it. aint nothin wrong with that.
think about it, in general, we bodybuild because we arent happy with the way we are currently, or think that we need to improve what we have now. of course, just because we do it for these reasons, it doesnt mean that we also dont have a passion for what we do. but if you are happy with what you have got now, and believe that your dont need to keep changing, growing, getting bigger, or leaner, or more defined, then you wouldnt need to dedicate your life to bodybuilding and the gym.
what im saying is, each to their own, we do what we want to do, and we do what we have to do. it just matter of sorting one from the other.

It's just as you said. Hollywood happened to him. H'Wood doesn't appreciate body size. People are always amazed by how tiny actors are when they see them in person. Hollywood has no conception of muscularity. In that town, any bulky guy can pass for "buff", even if he's 25% BF and smooth as ****. The ideal look for actors is extremely thin, with no muscle mass to speak of. The Rock isn't the only example. Take a look at Michael Clark Duncan. Guy used to be huge, now he's barely above average size.

another great thing about the rock's physique now or even his wrestler's physique, is that it looks completely attainable by a natural. Of course, u probalby won't weigh 270 pounds, but it definitely looks achievable.

I don't see what the big deal is. The Rock is still in incredible shape.
He's one buff dude.
