Brian Ahlstrom (Trapzillaoo7) and I both competed at the NGA Heart of America Classic this past saturday. Brian competed in the Middleweight class while I competed in the heavyweight class. There were 11 in Brian's class. They had them onstage for over an hour during prejudging! Well it was no sweat for Brian who won his class (his 3rd win in 3 shows this year!). I competed in the heavyweight division and also won my class which was quite tough with 5 other good competitors. In the overall it was clear that the judges were stuck between Brian and I for the overall. In the end I won by a narrow margin and in doing so, won my NGA pro card, which makes two natural pro cards for me this year... IFPA & NGA! It was great meeting Brian and I had a great time hanging out with him all day. What made it more rewarding is Brian is actually a client of mine and I've had the pleasure of watching him progress this past year. He went from finishing last place in his class last year... to winning 3 shows this year... including the overall at an NPC National Qualifier! It was an extreme honor for me to compete against a guy of his caliber & character.
What's more, my whole family came to this show including my grandmother as well as many of my friends from my gym, and my girlfriend Isabel. I got to win my pro card in front of the people I care about the most and that made it extremely emotional and rewarding. Hopefully I'll get some professional pictures from the show soon. Until then here are the pics I have, the onstage pics are very blurry, but the backstage pics are good

more pics from backstage. In the last pic you might notice Josh Biros (clothed) in the pic, Josh recently won the bodybuilding.com transformation of the week contest! I am also proud to say he is also a client of mine. It was a pleasure hanging out with Josh & Brian as well as meeting their buddy Zack (other guy in the pic) who won the teen division.

This is my first post on bodybuilding.com, but I have lurked here and have been following your progress for a few years now and I'd just like to say that what you have achieved is amazing and inspiring. I wish you all the best in every aspect of your life, you deserve it.
Oh! and Brian looks awesome too, huge props to him also, if he could pick one guy to come 2nd to, I'm sure it would have been you. Great job guys.

You put in the work and learned what you needed to, so you deserve everything you have gotten. I just can't wait to see what you can do over the next few years. Good luck!
August 2008 310lbs
March 1st 2009 249lbs
May 2nd 2010 262lbs
Been fluctuating a bit. I am holding most of my previous losses though.
Back to cutting starting May! I went half way in 09 time to finnish the job!
Goal is to see my abs!, and to never go above 12% bf again!
